Do you still talk to or wish you could still talk to old eq /friends? There is so many I would love to hear from. I doubt some of them even realize the impact they had on me. I'm 29. Which means I was 9 years old when eq launched. I was 11 or 12 when I got my druids epic. This was largely due to a few really awesome dudes. I'm sure they knew I was young too.
Drraake Thundercrown - paladin in the raiding guild Blades of Law on povar. This dude helped me so much through the years. You were always so helpful and super chill
Wickedness - ogre sk. I remember when you died and lost level 60 trying to help me. All around great dude
Smokexx - wish I wouldve kept in contact.
My uncle Everdriven Bramblefoot. This man has been playing eq for no shit I think the entire 20 years
And honorable mentions go to members of Triton. As a kid I worshipped these guys and even sent /tells to them..and got helpful and insightful responses. I remember players telling me they were elitist asswipes, but in my experience they were are all pretty cool.

I lost contact with the folks I gamed with over time, most of them when WoW came out and then some more when some of the messenger services we used went down.
There was a married couple that I did a ton of content with on my Gnome Paladin Breltik that I'd love to talk to again.

Nope. All the people I knew and left back in 2004 when I went to WoW are long gone.

I met two paladins in split paw duo'ing and they let my wizard join them back in 01'. We played until wow came out, and at that point I purchased the NA version of wow for them so they could play with me. They both live in spain. We played wow until BC, and kept in touch via facebook. In 2015 I traveled to Spain and met them and had a blast. They are coming to my wedding next year.

That literally made tear come from my gamer eye. Few things are as beautiful

I wish I did, then again meeting 40ish dudes with wifes/ husbands and kids, all long lost to gaming, while I'm still nerding on a two decade old elf simulator.... that would probably be awkward.
Anyone here was a member of the French community on Karana (and then Sebilis), send me a PM :)

I got this one, Loramin! :D
Not sure if you guys realized this, but on the wiki, there's a page for "Player List from Live". You can find it by scrolling about 4/5 down the main page, under the "Community" section. Or, if I do this right, you can click this link... Here! (http://wiki.project1999.com/Player_List)
While I haven't added my Live characters to the list yet, I do check it on occasion to see if Ms. Kandriasin Kandypants (her maiden name!) from Fennin Ro ever plays P99 and has added herself to the list.
p.s. Hope you don't mind me ribbing you, Loramin... I typically find your wiki links to be useful and informative. :)

Mostly via Facebook these days, as everyone has busy schedules and family, etc. But yeah, considering EQ was essentially social media for gamers at the time, I made some enduring relationships. Mostly Veeshan folks from Denmark to closeby.

Today's games are usually optimized so players play with people near them for performance reasons. It is an interesting thought that 20 years ago games were more diverse with players all over the world. I would have never guessed that back then.

Some of the friends that I started EQ with and knew before the game I still talk with regularly. People I met in game and played with for months or longer, no I lost contact with pretty much all of them.

My guild from live still exists, has a website, and we still play together. There aren't as many of us and we've lost some people along the way. But others have resurfaced after years of silence and have been welcomed back with open arms. We tend to form our guild in each game so that we can be found.

Yes!
Had a bachelor party at the start of the year. A whole bunch of my old EQ crew came.
We went out for beers and gourmet burgers on the first night, next day did an escape room, some laser tag and counterstrike source. Curry followed by drinks at a 'barcade' playing table football and street fighter 2 in the evening.
Breakfast on quayside in the morning.
Was a great weekend! No EQ though AFAIK, but we did speculate about green server!

When one of you stops using its contact lost. . .Mostly been my experience.
People I played with on Live, while I've made a point to keep in contact with them, if I don't message them, they don't message me.
