As a mage we were given back the pet window and I'm very grateful for that but what happen to the command go away not functioning cant solo worth a dam now cant chain pet no more which means I cant solo anything any more ?
so my question is there a command I can use to get rid of the pet while casting another?

If you make '/pet go away' macro in the social menu (alt+m) and click that directly, does that work?

my above text was incorrect; use '/pet get lost' directly via the social menu.

you can't use pet social commands while casting. the pet window used to circumvent that restriction, but no longer does, which effectively disables mage soloing by chaining pets.

If you use your mouse to click the social button directly in the action window (not hotbar), you can do it while casting.

You 100% can use the social button for the command while casting.

Logged on my mage to confirm and yeah, clicking the button directly from the social window does work. I haven't logged in a while and was worried so wanted to check myself.

Dude, it's not hard.

1. Have a pet.
2. Start summoning new pet
3. type "/pe get"(pet get lost). Press enter.

you honestly don't really need a macro for it, but if you want one, you can use it right from the social menu. Note the macro must have the full "/pet get lost". but it works while casting. I just did it.
