Hey, started a gnome warrior. Have a few pieces of crusty/cobalt and hp rings. Also a Frostbringer, Jarsath Trident, skinning knife, Poison Wind Censer.

Training up 2hb and was gonna switch to a Staff of Battle at 20. Think it makes sense to just buy better ac/hps across the board and get those clockwork haste arms OR get a reaver and fill out slots as I loot fine steel?

40/40 vs 31/37 is an immediate dps increase no matter what. Those haste arms prob last for like what, 5 mins, until the 40's?

Thanks :)

PS: I'll solo about 90% of this toon's life most likely.

Reaver, haste arms, and don’t look back.

Will be even sweeter with that 2h bonus. Will be good to 20-50 until you switch to bloodpoints. I’d also get the gaunts and boots for gnome armor. Having that extra str/dex is great for solo. Go full dex starting stats too imo. Those clicks lasts like an hour so each charge is pretty cheap.

*edit the haste click doesn’t last an hour. The str/dex do though. Haste arms still 100% worth it. To hell with those monks and their easy epic haste!

The only thing that blows is that we can’t make gnome sks.

Well, Reaver acquired and quite tapped on resources. Should be fun, TY for the peer pressure Crede :).

Reaver is nice

reaver, haste arms, best worn haste you can afford. Every other slot just stack AC.

At 50 swap to truncheon of doom and reaver / bloodpoints depending on the duo.

Fight in corners and battle BW youself too.

Argent Protector could be an alternativ to Reaver. Isnt it so that damage bonus is higher for 49 delay than 40?

This would be my advice too. Question though, at 50+ does the reaver outdamage the bloodpoints?

No parsing here but I expect it would be close. High 50's DW likely does more "damage" but soloing isn't necessarily about damage.

Bigger ripostes from a 40 delay weapon, less ripostes taken, less damage shield issues, being bout to joust with sow if crap goes sideways, etc. Taking that a step further, with root nets if things go really poorly you can joust something to death that would kill you if relying on cooldown swing timers.

If you guys had the money floating around.. Would you take a Reaver over a Narandi's Lance?

The Narandi is only 55+ equippable.

I expect even with the lower piercing cap for a warrior or SK the Reaver parses closely to a Narandi; especially with the 35hp/tick dot taken into consideration. Raid buffed using disc's and what-not the Reaver would likely get the nod. A Narandi is a criminally underpriced weapon for what it is.

I have a lance now... But i'm not ballin, so if a reaver will put up similar numbers it's probably best i ditch this thing and pick up a reaver like you did!!

Keep in mind that a Reaver isn't a Magic weapon, so it won't be able to hit most things. You need to have specific targets/goals in mind with it.

Works on all velious endgame content.
