Mayong Mistmoore — First to kill on Green

One of the coolest things on Green would be the people who get to kill Mayong Mistmoore. I believe only one spawns per server so to kill him would truly be a “once in a lifetime opportunity.” What do you all think? And to wield his 12 22 1hp would really be like an epic esp for a rogue.

Not 100% sure but I think so.

Mayong was spawned on a couple servers. it was certainly not a case of him spawning on every sever until killed. Didn't spawn on fennin ro, didn't spawn on rallos zek, and didn't spawn on several iterations of Verant's "test server".

I heard rumors of him on blue, but I wasn't there for it.

As I read once on Allakhazam or another such forum, Mayong Mistmoore would spawn occasionally as a GM puppet for special events. Not sure about non-GM spawns.

He was killed on blue and there waas MUCH MUCH MUCH drama.

I didn't experience it first hand, but there was a recent thread about this same topic here, with some cool screenshots and I dug up a bunch of old posts where players were upset.

Apparently the GM like, ate a death touch or something, this caused competing guilds to think that they were helping the leading guild win the fight etc.

IIRC he ended up being on farm for a while and provided the top guild with a lot of great daggers for their rogues, but maybe I just inferred that from the two kills astuce is talkn about.

Yeah, this was the rare instance where an event in emulated everquest caused drama amongst video game playing adults.
