Hi guys,
Newbie here.
As i understand i can give weapons to charmed mobs for more damage. Is this restricted to humanoid mobs or can i give the weapons also to other mobs? For example tigers or wyverns?
Thanks for your help in advance.

Spiders in velks quad with a torch. If they're not supposed to, then its a bug.

No time to write a book as I like to, but I think this might answer some of your questions.

I was gonna say....
...anyway, OP, the basics are this:
You can greatly increase any humanoid charm pet damage by simply giving it a SECONDARY item like a torch, drum, etc and it will quad. You can also do nifty things like giving it proc'ing weapons, such as Swarmcaller (https://wiki.project1999.com/Swarmcaller) in addition to a torch for quads + mana free slow. This is more useful when you're maintaining a single pet for long periods of time and keeping it healed.
Additionally, humanoid pets will equip any worn slots as well. So you can give a pet 2x Adamantite Band (https://wiki.project1999.com/Adamantite_Band) and 1x Rusty Spiked Shoulderpads (https://wiki.project1999.com/Rusty_Spiked_Shoulderpads) for an additional -30 MR which theoretically should improve the duration of your charms....especially so over long XP sessions.
Hope this helps.

As a Druid, what are my options when charming animals? I feel like I have a very vague memory of someone mentioning they can take Face items?

Would a charmed pet do more damage if you gave it a torch and a non-procing weapon vs. just a torch?

Yes. In fact, Magicians can make face haste items (http://wiki.project1999.com/Summoned:_Muzzle_of_Mardu) specifically for your pets.
