I did a Windows Update today. Yah I know my first mistake however I have been playing P99 for years using dual monitors. EQ runs on one in Widows mode while I watch internet TV on the other during those long boring camps. EQ is run in Administrator mode, I have the proper compatibility setting, screen settings, yada, yada , yada.

Soooo, after the update the Gamma slider no longer works and my screen color is stuck in dark. If I flip to Fullscreen, the slider works but of course if I try to go to the second monitor you have to go back to windowed to get things to work. so annoying.

Anyone have this problem and what was the fix? Help!

I use a program called Redshift, an alternative to this application as its not available on windows is somethibg called f.lux. It could be worth a look, but I have not personally tried f.lux so I cannot attest to it, but it was recomended as a windows alternative to Redshift.

As with anything do a little research before installing any application, make sure its conpatible with your system and that the program developers are up to date with their application. hope this helps

Thanks all. I did change my monitor brightness using the "calibrate" function and that seems to take of the dark screen. It's just frustrating that after 20 years of EQ, Win 10 has to come along with their user experience "improvements" and screw up the gamma setting. What's next??

If anyone hears or knows of an actual gamma fix would love to hear it. :)

I don't think Microsoft is to blame here. For years I played P99 on Linux without any gamma issues. Then a few months ago it just stopped working: there's no way Microsoft could be to blame for that.

It seems far more likely that the P99 devs did something (quite possibly on purpose, as the Titanium client's un-classic brightness has been a sore spot for awhile).
