View Full Version : 60 Monk - Fungi?

So, I've made it to 57 without a fungi... My question is, at lvl 60 do monks ever use fungi? Or, is it mostly for leveling up?

I could grind out the plat for a fungi, but it would take 2-3 weeks of tedium that I'm not looking forward to. If I've made it to 57 without a fungi and wouldn't really use it once I hit 60, is it reasonable to just keep grinding exp and skip the fungi? (The money would be used for SS Tunic MQ instead)

Yo! This thread covers some of your dilemma, I believe: https://www.project1999.com/forums/showthread.php?t=328397&highlight=fungi+farming

Apologies in advance if that's not what you were looking for. Good luck!

Most 60 monks still wear fungi over other raid BPs, so I would definitely go for the fungi, plus the fungi you can use it on alts too it's super fun.

Everyone should have at least one Fungi, because why not? Sometime in the future you'll get to the point where you log on just to f around in Norrath and Fungi makes that easy.

It's 15 regen per tick on a tradable item. Definitely something you could wear to raids on your 60 monk without being looked at strangely, and you can just sell it once you don't need it anymore.

I'd keep it just because 15 regen/tick is OP on a class with feign death compared to invigorate.

i wouldn't say its necessary, it's a nice to have item at 60

plus it looks better than velious leather bp

the question you want to ask yourself is, how frequent will you play your monk at 60? do you plan to solo camp namers? do you care about your look?

fungi is one of the few items whose value has remained pretty steady over the last 2 years, and even spiked a bit due to the pathing change. you can always liquidate it easy if you need the plat, or pass it on to an alt, so it doesn't hurt to get one.

If you solo it's mandatory

It's a BIS item, that doubles as an OP twink item. Don't see any reason to ever take it off once you get it, except to hand it to an alt.

Eh, if you know how to use bind wound while in combat you can do without it.

Yeah but you can both combat bind and have a fungi, it's great. I haven't gotten my monk to the high 50s yet but I imagine combat binding + fungi + iksar regen starts getting pretty nutty. Every time the mob misses you just heal like 40 life

Counterpoint: Combat bandaging with epic is a pain in the ass. (And also not classic)

It’s #1 or a close #2 BiS for everyone who can wear it with the liquidity of a 60’s big block muscle car.

The real question is how much better a no-drop piece is if you have to pay for it.

Get fungi!

Fungi is BiS for nearly every class that can wear it. On high end raid content with a tight cheal chain the regen is less relevant, but for all other classes/jobs it is best.

+15hp a tick while flopped? Best bp.

Just hit your epic before you start binding... it honestly isn't hard. It takes about one fight to adjust if you are at all competent.

Move your hotkey so that your kick doesn't start your bind.
