If I charm a mob with, say, Allure and the charm has lasted 5 minutes. Is there any reason to purposely break charm to re-charm and have a "fresh" charm? The way I see it that shouldn't be the case. Each 6 seconds there is a roll of the dice and the charm will either hold or break. It shouldn't matter if there has been 50 succesful rolls or zero prior to the current check, right? I get that all charm spells have a max duration but according to Wiki that's like 19 minutes on Allure.

Breaking / recharming on purpose is worth it if there's not enough time left on the current charm's max duration for whatever you're about to do.

For example, if you know there's like 2 minutes left on your charm (shall it go for full duration), and you're about to engage a spot with a shit ton of mobs that may take you longer to clear (boss room in HS North, pit in HS West, Drusella room, Disco...etc)., I'll break and recharm in order to have a max duration of 19 minutes on my Allure, instead of a max duration of 2 minutes.

Also your highest lvl tash only lasts 14 minutes whereas allure lasts 19mins so those last 5 mins your pets MR is going to jump almost 40 pts. Best to break, re-tash,recharm after 14 mins I say, than risk an unfortunate break. But what do I know I’m just a bard.
