The pragmatic answer though is to also invest in a solid shield/1h and keep it in your pack. Bash isn’t a game changer but t can certainly help in certain situations. In a full group as a casual player that extra 25-35 raw AC alone can be noticeable.

No shield bash is the only real downside to my paladin’s natures defender. Other than that I prefer it in all aspects over the Fiery Defender. Ratio is a bit worse but I like the slower swing speed (easier to land most casts). More ac, comparable proc (5less DD) and stats more to my liking.

If I’m fighting casters and could benefit from bash I just switch in sword and board.

As pointed out above SKs win out in having 2 options for large race for slam with any setup and all weapons. I’d argue that this alone makes them preferable to Iksar with greenmist. Being able to keep your NToV 2hander equipped and still bash is neato.

Well, if I were to roll an SK at some point it'd be Troll, so I'd have Slam at least. Would never, never ever pick Ogre as an SK, Ogres are overplayed for the classes that allow them and I don't consider Ogres to be truly "evil" so to speak, certainly not on the level of Troll or Dark Elf at least. IMO they're just dumb and misunderstood.

Would definitely consider Ogre for Warrior, but if I ever roll a SK, it's be Troll, DE, or Iksar. Period.

Disappointing that no Pally class gets Slam as a racial. Personally I think Dwarves should have Slam as a racial simply because of their natural strength and big, meaty fists. They may be small, but they're definitely not lacking in muscle.

Unless P99 nerfed it, Greenmist (not the lower Khukri) is usable by all races of SHD. I had one on my Erudite back on FV.

Yeah I'm wrong. That was a post-Luclin change, so Greenmist is IKS only.
