New to P99

Hey all - I'm coming back to EQ and mostly new to P99. Many years ago I created a Mage, and have started played him again tonight (Tigerfire).

Honestly though, I'm more looking to make some new friends. And, if it's the difference of having groups and not, I'd be more than happy to make another class. I've had them all on live, and some up through lvl 105.

Likewise, I'm in search of a guild that'll take me in.

Hello. Welcome to P99. You might want to check out Castle, which is primarily a leveling guild. You could also consider checking out Auld Lang Syne, but they have very specific rules about joining and the equipment you can make use of. They would probably like to have a mage at low-mid levels though as mages are great DPS in untwinked settings. Be aware, though, mage is one of the lesser sought after classes for groups in general. I hope the mage is a gnome btw if you plan to stick with playing one-- it will be important for call of the hero later on.
