Iksar give birth by laying eggs. The female can be pregnant with her eggs for years before she lays them. When the eggs are ready, an iksar lays her eggs in leaves and bark.

Sir the leaves and bark are gathered from the Swamp of No Hope.

Taking a bath is an interesting non-chore for Iksar. Iksar have skin covered with hundreds of thousands of hair-like spines. These spines trap air and cause water to bounce off. With this built-in water defense, one would think it would be hard to get clean. When the water bounces off, though, it takes dust and other contaminates on the skin with it

I've already got an Iksar Hide Mask so I'm ready for White Scales.

I actually lied, I don't have an Iksar Hide Mask. But I'll still buy the scales!

Iksar typically eat fruits, insects and flower nectar. An Iksar's tail saves fat that can be used later on when food is scarce.

The sensitivity of the Iksar eye has been calculated to be 350 times higher than Human cone vision at the color vision threshold. While Humans would hardly be able to make out color at all in dim moonlight, Iksar can go about their business in what is, to them, still a colorful world.

Unlike most lizards, Iksar are able to vocalize. They make clicks, chirps, and other sounds to communicate with fellow Iksar. The purpose of the sounds could be to warn away competitors from a territory, to avoid direct fighting, or to attract thots, depending on the species and situation.

You were probably hoping for more Iksar facts.

Iksar generally require very warm temperatures, on average somewhere in the 75 to 90 degree range, to remain healthy.

The average Iksar has roughly 10,000 scales.

Fun Fact: Iksar have an extra ankle bone! This comes from their ancestors having a reverse facing talon used for combat. As the Iksar race evolved the extra claw was no longer needed and was slowly lost. All that remains now is the extra small bone within the ankle.
