No servers showing up on server list!

Hey all, it seems that every time i type in my username/password, I get sent to an empty server select screen. Maybe once out of 15 times it tells me a timeout occurred. I checked both the Emu website and the p99 website, and both servers are up and running, so I'm not too sure waht the problem is. I have also downloaded the latest patch files

this happened to me for the duration of my EQ experience. what seemed to help, was removing the router from the internet equations, but now it seems to not make a difference. what Eff'n gives? whats up with that bisz

**update** was able to see server list, now instead of working, when i attemtp to join P1999 it says an unknown error has occorerd. or the one time i did manage to get in, all my chars were missing

I'm having this issue this morning as well.. I got on earlier but had a few issues where the unspecified error message was displayed. I exited and restarted EQ and got on. Now when I try to get on, the server list is empty. I suspect it's something with the logon server.

doubtful it has anything to do with the server ... its your connection ...

unstable / high latency connection = time out, as your error message already suggests ...
once you get the "unknown error" just close EQ and reopen it and that one is gone ...

Uaellaen, how could you be "doubtfull" it is the server, to everyone else, it is quite obvious that we are ALL haveing trouble. deduction my boy,

also having this issue... not seeing any servers or frequently getting timeout errors when trying to login or connect to server when I did manage to see the server list. Still can't get in game.

Same issue here and it has been this way for a couple of days, guess it is the login server having a classic experience.

the best option to take , is to try to login, if no list "loggout" then try again, may take a decent amount of triest.

if this fails, restart eq and use the same method. it may take several attempts, but it seems the loggin server is being "laggy" where sometimes packets arent accepted.

so u gotta kinda spamm it to try to log in whilst it is accepting packets

because this always happens when you have a bad connection to the server ...

be it wireless, shitty internet provider (hi comcast) etc.


also considering i am on this server since over 1 year and log in several times a day and never have an issue UNLESS my connection to the server is somehow disturbed... wich never realy happens ... i have that bug maybe once a month on average ...
