The highest summonable 24th necro pet should dual wield if given weapons.

In-era source:

29 PET DOES DUEL WIELD, By Sthiku (6/20/2001)

the 29 pet always duel wields. No matter what. It just has different skill levels. If your pet will hold two weapons it will duel wield. that does not mean they will always hit with the offhand weapon. The higher the pet the more often the offhand weapon will hit.

The 24 level spell can summon a pet that will duel wield. I have done it. but its skill is really low.

find a level 29 mage to make some rune swords for you. to bad they fixed the bug where they rune swords would proc on anything if held by a pet.

This is true, I thought it did already here

If it does already then mission accomplished, I thought it didn't. :)

I'm a Shadow Knight and hence cannot test the level 24 Necro spell, but I can confirm that the lowest level pet summoned by the 29 spell (49 SK spell Summon Dead) will dual wield when given weapons. I checked this in-game just a few minutes ago. The lowest "summon dead" pet is lower level than the highest 24 necro pet summon, so presumably the highest of those will dual wield as well. This was not the case on P99 years ago; in 2012 when I was originally leveling my Shadow Knight the pets did not dual wield until the middle range of the level 29 pets (ie, 49 for SK and even the lowest of those did not dual wield so some pet re-summoning was involved). Hence there is some outdated information on the P99 forum which cannot be edited any longer due to age.
