View Full Version : Started with all agi, should I re roll my ranger?

So I started a ranger a while back and gave him all agi to start with. I'm now level 35 and wondering if I screwed up enough to reroll this one. If I ever hope to raid with him, am I going to be too crippled to do things that are expected of a ranger? All jokes aside please, as all experienced players know rangers are by far the best class in ever group and only lack res to make them perfect.

Level him to 60 and parse it for science.

Honestly, it won't matter so much. Most of rangers put all points into strength anyways... Anf by the time you have your epics and few decent pieces of armor, you would be capped for str easily (don't forget you get storm strength which gives you 35 str buff). Only thing you maybe be missing out on is STA or DEX... Either of which won't be game changing effect had you put your points in them stead of agi.

Big mistake. You should have all stamina an ogre warrior.

If you don't reroll to that you may as well stick with the ranger you got. ~100 hp at 60 instead of some extra avoidance/speed skilling defence/encumbrance mitigation isn't going to make or break your character.

Raid ranger = speed bump, CotP, death touch taker. You're fine.

I did 5 sta str dex wis. Stats don’t really matter, but 20 agi could potentially spare you a lot of hits over your character’s lifetime. You’re fine :)

At level 35 it's definitely not worth it.

I mean, worst is debatable as INT or CHA on ranger but sure...

Charisma for better sell price without having to carry charisma gear is the best end game stat. Fight me.

You max out on charisma sell price at a pretty low stat amount.

Yeah, but with max charisma you are more likely to persuade a cleric to rez you.

The only reason to restart with the same class would be if after however many countless hours you have spent reaching the point you are at now you just can’t stand how your race looks or how armor appears on that race. Starting stats means basically nothing especially if you are heavily gearing out at start or reaching endgame.

In ye Olden tymes I remember reaching level 18 on a first bard and being excited to have brass instruments at last. Only to stare in horror at the ridiculous jig animation you do. I still advanced to about level 20 before it got to be too much and rerolled another bard (pretty sure same race) just female now. Somehow seeing a lady prance around Riverdance style was acceptable.
