I'm a big fan of the wiki, and I have a few "pet projects" that I originally started, but now rely on crowd-sourcing to improve. All of these projects answer common questions, and since there are a wide variety of possible answers the wiki needs a variety of players to help answer them:
The Per-Level Hunting Guide (http://wiki.project1999.com/Per-Level_Hunting_Guide) - where should I go to solo/duo/trio XP?
The Treasure Hunting Guide (http://wiki.project1999.com/Treasure_Hunting_Guide)- where should I go to solo/duo/trio plat or valuable items?
The Fashion categories (http://wiki.project1999.com/FashionQuest_Guide) (example (http://wiki.project1999.com/Category:Fashion:_Bahama_Blue)) - what does _____ armor look like?
I'm holding a mini-contest with a prize of 500 plat for three lucky winners, and all you have to do to enter is help with one of those three. Now I know 500 plat isn't very much on this server, but if you're low level and on your first character then it can provide a nice boost, so this is intended specifically for such new folks.
All you have to do to "enter" is add one new entry: one hunting spot, one place to make plat, or one screenshot, that the wiki didn't already have. Then just reply to this thread with a link to the change and a brief description so I know what you added. That's it.
One week from tonight (May 10th) I'll randomly pick three winners out of everyone who entered, and announce them the next day. There may be additional winners if anyone impresses me by adding more than just one entry, at my (and my bank account's) discretion.
In short I'm trying to leverage the fact that you're low level and new to the server to turn you into cheap labor ... but for the good of the server ;) I hope lots will participate, and if it proves popular who knows maybe I'll even do it again.

Clearly the universe was just begging to have that camp in the guide :D
You both get credit for the contest. I'll go ahead and merge the two entries (or one of you is welcome to), but first can someone help me get the level range right? It's 17 in one entry and 20-26 in the other. Was the 17 a twinked monk and the 20-26 an untwinked ranger? Or was one entry just a best guess that's a bit off ... or does the camp really stay blue from 17-26?

I believe the level of the magicians is 16-17. I was killing them from 20-26 on my mage trying to get my focus items. At 26 some were green but still gave exp and some were blue. The wiki lists their level as 17, but there is some slight variance.

Perfect.
I edited the magicians entry so that their level now says "16-17 (some variance)", then I merged the two entries ... and now that spot is one of most detailed in the guide.
Great work all.

There seems to be two level ranges of mages at Najena. Some in the crystal room and her locked room are higher than those lurking in corridors. Indeed there maybe further granularity between crystal and locked rooms.
As a side note, it's been really difficult resisting the temptation of adding a 'gather a few dozen of your friends to kill a certain mob in ToV' entry to the guide as a friendly dig against our most esteemed OP :D.

:) Cute idea, but I'm glad you didn't. The people this contest is for (relatively new-to-the-server folks) don't need to even be thinking about the drama that is P99 high-end raiding yet. And as we both know, things are continuously getting better on that front over time.
Rooting the dragons may not have been my personal choice of solution, but it's clearly an improvement .... so let's leave RnF in RnF and not scare anyone. Who knows, by the time these people reach ToV Raiding, it's entirely possible ToV will be a lot less of a mess (eg. maybe Nilbog will have instanced it), and discussions of rotating the zone will seem quaint.

Regarding the treasure camps, if a particular camp is good for multiple things (such as one that drops junk to vendor) but also has the potential to drop items to sell to players, how should it be listed? multiple places? only one?

Regarding the treasure camps, if a particular camp is good for multiple things (such as one that drops junk to vendor) but also has the potential to drop items to sell to players, how should it be listed? multiple places? only one?
I'd be curious to hear which camp this is. In general I'd lean towards just putting the entry in the items area. Almost every mob in that area also drops small loot of some value, but that's not usually worth mentioning.
However, if a single camp/area has both "named" mobs that drop valuable loot AND those mobs drop a lot of Fine Steel weapons or whatever, I could see listing it in both places.
Personally the only example I can think of this off the top of my head would be Droga. Camps like Soothsayer Dregzak (Earring of Essence) also involve killing lots of not-named goblins, and they drop lots of Fine Steel and goblin armor.
Currently the wiki only has the named part as an entry. But I could see either A) adding a note to all the Droga named camps saying something like "and fine steel weapons and goblin armor also drop; they sell well to vendors" ... or B) adding a single entry for all of Droga under the "Coin/Trash Item Camps (to be sold to vendors)" section.
Ultimately it's up to you as a wiki-editor to decide :) I just think you should strive to do whatever will be best for players reading the guide, and adding every single named camp in Droga as separate entries in "Coin/Trash Item Camps (to be sold to vendors)" would seem to be going too far (it wouldn't really be helpful to readers) ... but the other options all sound good to me (or you're welcome to come up with another solution).

My example would be the faerie dragons in WL: they drop quest gems such as crushed flame emeralds which have value to players, while also dropping plenty of gems that are only good for vendor prices (but can be 30pp or more). Note: yes i just gave a free edit to somebody if they want to enter with this information.
Most of the mobs that drop velious quest gems drop other gems that still have vendor value. Players may farm them with the intent of seeking quest gems and still come away with reasonable cash in vendor trash, or they could treat the camp as a vendor trash camp (like seafuries of old) with the potential of bigger cash trades for players.

There are a few entries on OT, I wasn't sure if I should add a new line or just combine the info. It took me a lot of searching to find that static spawn when I was camping war braids so I thought it might stand out better as a new line. Sadly I am traveling so no screenshots from me, hope these edits help.

As a wiki-editor it's your call. Personally I'd just try and think what would be useful to people. When people look for vendor loot camps, it's typically because they don't want to deal with having to sell to players in EC. So I'd want to know if enough vendor(-only) loot drops at that camp to interest such players. If so I'd list it in both places, otherwise I'd just put it in player loot (with a note that there's also good vendor gem drops too).
And it looks like the contest is heating up!

My edit - Timorous Deep entry for evil races killing elven rangers and scouts.
Additional Notes - I love this spot. If you wrecked your Indigo Brotherhood faction from hunting in crushbone for belts, this is the place to fix it. The loot is only moderate to good when you compare to Lesser Faydark bandits or Karana Bandits w/ red sash quests. The thing that makes the spot great is no one ever hunts there, the mobs are pushovers if you can deal with the occasional root or snare, and the mob placement is amazing for a solo hunter.
Respawn time is about 18 minutes, which is fine because you have about 9 total target mobs you can whack if you really want. The beta neutral vendor being RIGHT THERE in a hut where you're camping is the icing on top. If you are a solo necro or magician, you absolutely cannot do better than this place.
Claim for contest - don't enter my name in. I just added the entry for the hell of it.

My edit - Lake Rathetear map 7 bandit area description.
Additional Notes - If you are willing to pack a some extra food and drink and make the run, this spot is amazing. Total cruise control for grabbing level 17 and getting full loot value from every drop due to the Beta Neutral ogre vendor RIGHT THERE where you're camped. Even copper / silver can be converted from a quick purchase and sale of a bronze sword for a tiny loss.
The 6:40 min respawn time is great. The red sashes that drop (about 1.5 on average per 7 bandits killed) adds up if you're willing to take full 8 or 10 slot bags in your inventory, fill up, swap full bags for empty bags in your bank, and then leave. My ranger recently went from 11-17 there, saved every sash, and made level 20 from turning in all the sashes in Qeynos. Ending cash was 450pp + from the haul (used crude stein for sales).
Warning - Do NOT rest on or near the shore edge. Kermitt or whatever, the named shadow knight froglock, will eat you. Thankfully, there's no reason to either rest or fight near the shore as you're way up on a broad ledge.
Edit - Almost forgot - if you are a Troll Shaman of Innoruuk and you scammed a quick Halfling Illusion mask from the Innoruuk Reagent Symbol quest, the Halfling Illlusion will cut the mustard in letting you turn the sashes in at Qeynos. I nearly died laughing pulling this off. As the bank in Qeynos is in the same zone as the NPC you turn the sashes in to, the Illusion duration was good enough to do a quick relay race of bag swapping and turn ins before it expired. Gating out solved any inconveniences in zoning to leave.
Claim for contest - don't enter my name for this. Entry added for the hell of it.

While I love that you improved the wiki, for this contest I really wanted people to try adding a single entry of some sort to the wiki. So please do add a new one (if you don't have any good spots for the guides the fashion categories always need screenshots, and you can easily pickup a suit of cloth or leather to take one).

Another entrant!
And yes, this is exactly why the wiki needs so much help in the fashion categories. Even if there's already screenshots of several races, of the same gender, wearing the exact same suit of armor, with the exact same tint, there's still a big difference in how it looks on a different race/gender.
And I should point out that many basic categories, like http://wiki.project1999.com/Category:Fashion:_Leather, still have no screenshots whatsoever. Since any low-level character can assemble a suit of (visible) leather armor, this should be an easy entry for even the newest people to the server.

The contest is over and we had five entrants, plus a few others who "won" but declined to participate (thanks experienced and ALS folks who contributed anyway!) We also had a single honorable mention, Znakebite (who didn't make a new entry but did improve one).
And the good news is ... there will be no roll, because there's enough plat in the bank to reward everyone: everyone who participated is a winner!
The people who did multiple entries will get a slight bonus, while the one honorable mention won't get quite as much as the rest but will still get some reward:

I added a pic of Noble's Robes. I finally did it. I am assuming it looks the same on all classes/races?.
http://wiki.project1999.com/Noble%27s_Robes
Great job! But unfortunately no, the whole point of the fashion categories is that gear doesn't look the same on all races/genders, which is why the wiki does need screenshots of as many different races/genders as possible.
Also, the goal is to try and get those images on the fashion category pages. Right now your image is just on the Nobles Robes (http://wiki.project1999.com/Noble%27s_Robes) page, but those robes have a "Robe of the Oracle" category (http://wiki.project1999.com/Category:Fashion:_Robe_of_the_Oracle), and there are nine other robes in that category that look similar, so really your screenshot belongs on that page (and it doesn't have a dark elf male screenshot yet).
The Nobles Robes do have a unique fashion tint category of "Claret Maroon (http://wiki.project1999.com/Category:Fashion:_Claret_Maroon)" (and you'd want to add the screenshot there too), but still they look very similar to robes with a different tint (eg. Guardian Robes), so again they'd help more people by being on the category pages.
You'll want to see this page (http://wiki.project1999.com/FashionQuest_Guide) for instructions on how to use the "FashionShow" template to add to the categories (it's probably easier than whatever you did to add the screenshot to the item page, and since you've already uploaded the image you can skip that part).
And of course, the contest is over ... but don't worry! For at least making an edit you qualified yourself for a "runners up" prize, and I'll look for you online tonight to give it to you.
