The lvl 29 Druid spell "Ensnare" has a fixed duration, right?

Is this also the case for the lvl 1 "Snare" spell? I was under the impression that it had a chance to break randomly (like root), but I could be wrong.

No, snare doesn't break randomly. Ensnare just lasts longer. You pay around twice the mana for twice the duration.

Thanks for the clarification. The wiki says the duration is:

6 seconds @L1 to 3 minutes 54 seconds @L60

Do you know if this is a linear progression? For example, assuming my math isn't entirely flawed, it would add about 3.8 seconds to the duration for each level gained from 1 - 60. If not, is there a chart somewhere?

I would imagine it's linear and you could reasonably predicate a small boost to duration every level.

Just remember that duration can only increase by a full server tick, or 6 seconds. So, at level 2, it would still be 6 seconds, not 9.8. At level 3, it would jump to 12, not 13.6. Of course, this is assuming it's perfectly linear.

Snare can be resisted, root can break early.

Snare is just under 4 minutes. Ensnare is closer to 15 minutes. Duration scales up with levels but is fixed duration once it lands.

Great spell line. Both are cheap enough I never bother with low level snare unless it’s a free item click.
