Weapon combos

Hello. I’m level 36 right now and at 40 my frostbringer will proc. I was wondering if I should wield my Venomous Axe of the Velium Brood in main with Frostbringer in secondary or go for a better ration weapon in my offhand and do Frostbringer in main and my Winter’s Fury in offhand? The Velium Axe has a poor ration 11/25 so I was wondering when I should finally bag this weapon. Thanks.

Winters fury should be better. Curious to see a parse if you had some crazy dex. I was soloing with FB/venom axe in my 40s though because it was fun having 2 procs. If you’re mostly grouping though you really should have a second Aggro weapon like a WESS. Venom proc is just a dd which won’t generate much Aggro.

Definitely keep the fury and pick up another non Aggro weapon for when you’re not tanking. War should have a tank weapon setup, non tank/dps setup, and potentially a solo one if you’re into that.

Venomous axe isn’t a good warrior weapon at any level really. Ratio is bleh and the proc isn’t strong threat.

For borderline free, i'd rather have this little guy. At least the proc gets you agro. Haha ratio is pretty gross tho.

What about a sarnak warhammer? Procs at 46.. Better ratio, cheap, and would grab agro better than that DD proc?

I'd prob dump the axe for anything cheap with a .5+ ratio or a lesser ratio but an aggro proc (claw impaller or save up for a WESS).

If purely going for damage in the offhand a Jarsath Trident is 75p or a fist of zek for 250. Or get a claw impaller, trident, and staff of battle for the price of the axe and have all your bases covered.

Very low. No initial damage component, not a number of poison counters, no additional effect (ac debuff, stun, etc).

It’s almost unresistable though adding decent dps on a proc. Not a shabby offhand.

Thought of a few other weapons you can add to the toolkit - proc options. These are not "the best", but in that 37 - 40 + (and beyond), anything that procs Ykesha (Ykeshan War Club is 40+ proc, but the swords proc @ 37) is an option for cheap along w/ the almost free Kunzar Ku'juch. Kunzar's proc is small amount of DD but is a snare style proc @ 40 + so can't hurt to have in those times / situations you could use a snare proc item. Silken Whip of Ensnaring won't proc till 50, so Kunzar is an alternate tool for the kit (even though the ratio sucks! ).

Kunzar is a beautiful weapon for any warriors going for the 'evil' look. 8/22 and hate proc works sufficiently well in 40s.

I used WESS / FB combo with great success before Infestation. That is the go-to, best-bang-for-your-buck combo before Infestation and raid weapons in my opinion.
