For all you Druids out there that played during the classic era, what were some of the best weapons a Druid could wield in original EQ? I'm talking either 1HS or 1HB.

I'm gearing up a 100% classic Druid, and would love some (light) melee action.

I appreciate the tip on Smoldering Brand! I was really hoping for some type of scimitar or mace though.

Every time I see references for classic Druid gear, I'm always referred to Paw of Opolla. What if I just want to hit a baddie haha?

In that case play a ranger. It's almost like a druid, but with weapons. Honestly, past level 14 or so meleeing with a druid is a huge waste of time and mana (that you will need for heals) and its getting worse with each level.

There is this morning star (https://wiki.project1999.com/Ruined_Battleworn_Morning_Star) that drops in Kith from the high level DE's. Actually, it might have been added in Kunark though since it's from the mobs related to rogue epic, so I'm not certain if it could be considered a vanilla item even though it's in a vanilla zone.

Iirc, the Sharkbone Warhammer (https://wiki.project1999.com/Sharkbone_Warhammer) was pretty much BiS for many classes in pre-planar Classic.

There are two +6 wis 1hb (mace) off undead in Kithicor. https://wiki.project1999.com/Ruined_Battleworn_Morning_Star

Be in Kith just a little bit forward of the WC zoneline. At 9pm an undead cleric will spawn right in front of the cabin and then start pathing deeper into Kith and back. Kill him and his respawns until you get the tainted battleworn Star.
