Does this ring drop have the same drop rate as before the latest patch?

no, it's definitely lower. and your jboots are slower, too.

Not if you're using them to break charm. You will go through the charges extremely fast. To get enough rings to last through a decent session, you would spend as much or almost as much plat as would have if you bought a Gobby ring to begin with. If you farm the Ring of Shadows yourself, you would spend a very long time accumulating enough rings to last for a session and then you would end up filling a lot of bag space with them.

DE racial hide or Velious enchanter boots (8s cast right click invis) are probably the best alternatives if you really don't want to swap spell gems to break pets

I finally looted the gazughi. It took around 100 couriers.

Spent over 30 hours off and on at that camp, over various characters, and never once seen the ring.

Just think, if you only would have spent 31 hours, you could have gotten a ring.

RNGesus is a fickle god. I remember back in the day camping my first FBSS with friends. It took like 14 hours for the first to drop, and 3 more dropped in the next hour or so.
