I'm looking for people's opinions on stat allocation for wizard's , what the wiki currently has doesn't seem right to me.

"For PvP servers use:

Dark Elves add 15 Intelligence and 15 Stamina.
Erudites add 15 Intelligence and 15 Stamina.
Gnome add 15 Intelligence and 15 Stamina.
High Elf add 20 Intelligence and 10 Stamina.
Human add 25 Intelligence and 5 Stamina. "

My feeling is you'd either go 25 int or 25 stamina.

Thoughts?

At level 60, 25 STA gives you 62.5 HP, whereas 25 INT would give you 150 mana, assuming you're over the 200 soft cap. Because wizards need to deal out a lot of damage in a small amount of time, I feel like INT would be a better allocation of starting points than STA. Focusing on +HP items would net you a much greater return than +STA.

Also, go Erudite for the +5 MR bonus.

I agree with you on the int, some people say that int capping is easy no matter what /shrug. Yeah erudite really has to be the best choice with highest int and +5 MR.

On the other hand, 25 agi will give you ~2.5% damage mitigation at 60...

all races add 25 int and 5 str. That is the best and mos correct answer.

Thank you! The argument for an extra 60 hp at level 60 never made sense to me anyway.

The reason people do STA is because it is very easy to max int.

The reason people do STR is due to incapacitate (and by extension general carry weight).

^this player stripped his friends red99 account to sell it for $ - well known for doing it too because he ate a ban for it. Suprised he didnt reroll a new forum account, along with the new accounts he needed.

When he reports this msg GM please check his account ban list to see this isn't slander.

It's the same idiots that argue putting all points in to stm on Knights is the way foward.

Yah...that extra 80hp (aka less that 1 hit at 60 vrs general mobs) is going to help over the extra 200+ mana.

3880hp, 2300 mana knight vrs 3800hp, 2500 mana who you think got more wiggleroom?

Hint:
The one extra:
Increase Hitpoints v2 by 175 per tick x4 times (Paladin)
Decrease Hitpoints by 332 (L49) to 338 (L50) (Shadowknight)

Edit: Factor in that STR and STM are the easiest stats to get over or close to the 200 mark without buffs for knights too

25stam 5agi = main , will get better gear and int will be easily capped

25int 5stam = alt

pretty safe spendature there

here's my expert opinion on the wizard class

avoid playing one unless it is classic or kunark, that is all

INT is easily capped, but one 6/65 ring replaces more than the 60 HP you'd get from STA at level 60. There are several other +HP items you can get to replace slots with +INT items when you're max, like the 15/15 wrists, 35 HP/25 mana earrings, Spider Fur Belt, Spider Fur Boots, Giant Scalemail Cloak, Embroidered Black Cape, 65/65 necklace, Platinum Tiara, Coldain Skin Gloves, Rokyl's Channeling Crystal, and Crystal Spider Eyes, to name a few that won't break the bank
