Basically what this shows is me testing if Gullerback summons. He does infact, so i try to get a gate off. I do, and I get the "Entering Timorous Deep" message on my screen.

Then the game is like LOL NO back in BW RIGHT at Gullerbacks feet. Still at 95% due to DoTs so he summons me again when i try to backup and get a gate. Channel a gate again (at 20% by this point in time).

Game again is like LOL FUCK U, I go through another loading screen and land right at Gullerbacks feet. This time enough time elapsed to end DoTs, and he regenned to 99%. I was finally able to run out of range and gate out.

This is definitely bugged and not some stupid Kunark mechanic that prevents gating away from Summoning mobs right?

Seems like if a mob summons you while you're zoning you zone to where you were summoned to. Mobs shouldn't summon once you zone.

Well mobs insta-summon the moment you get out of range. Perhaps when you zone, gate, or even die, the server automatically detects that you are out of range and insta-summons you.

This of course, means that as soon as you zone, or start to zone, you'll be summoned. Likely this happens before the client can communicate with the server and say "HEY! I'M NOT IN THAT ZONE! DON'T SUMMON ME!"

Just a theory... :)

The way this was explained to me was that if you gate while you are being summoned - EVEN if you get a successful gate off the mob's summon > your gate.

It was explained to me when I received a petition about someone gating while fighting a summoning mob and finding themselves dead at their spawn point with their corpse at the feet of their foe...

this has happened to me 4 times now. Please fix the (>) greater than symbol to prevent mobs from summoning me back after I've either died already, evac'd, zoned, or gated.

As you suspected kanras, Evacuate/Succor still do this. I believe you only zone once and back to your original coordinates instead of the "safe point."
