Some helpful info

I have this in our guild discord and figured it could be helpful for new players or people that are new to PvP servers. Enjoy and feel free to add to it.

Import your UI from one character to another-
in your EQ folder find UI_CharacternameUIyouwanttouse_P1999PVP.ini and copy and paste it on your desktop. Change the character name to the new character that you want to put the UI on and drag it back into your EQ folder.

Import your settings from one character to another-
in your EQ folder find Characternameofsettingsyouwant_P1999PVP.ini, make a copy and paste it to your desktop. Change the character name to the name of the char you want to upload the settings to and drag it back into your EQ folder.

You can loot everything off of a corpse and have your corpse not disappear by typing /load and reloading UI.

You can "corpse" no rent items like a shadowed rapier and they will remain on the corpse until you loot them.

You can proc weapons and OT hammer on player corpses if they are in your pvp range.

PvP -
Archery will not work over water
Resist rates on Root and Snares are increased in PvP.
There is a chance to break root from melee. The chance for root to break is equal to 20% of the damage dealt.
Players can water dance / hop to avoid getting hit by detrimental spells in PvP.
Mitigation disciplines reduce both incoming PvE and PvP damage.
Pets, when charmed, will be instantly poofed.

strafing while running slightly increases your speed

Shift + T gives you rearview

levitate - to prevent sinking switch to first person and hold the Page Up key, you can then go back to third person and maintain height

"lev trick" - you can levitate up certain walls by using windowed mode and clicking in and out of the window. clicking back on the eq window and then clicking back off of it you are able to time it so that you will gain height you would not normally have been able to.

"water dance" - if you are pvping near water you can go in and out of the water preventing spells from landing on you if timed right. for a spell cast above water, the person must be above water for it to land. and vice versa if a spell is cast underwater the target must be underwater for it to land.

casting scale of wolf on someone in pvp can strip their SoW once they attack. this will lead to them having to jboots which will give you a slight speed advantage. this is especially useful when fighting against melees.

fast way to level up Sense Heading -

place sense heading on your hotbar, will use 9 for this example.
Alt + O to go to options and under the Hotbar 1 category in Keys set the alternate of Hot button 9 to one of your movement keys

can all be made into hotkeys for quick access:

/loc - location coordinates

/corpse - drag corpse

/consent - allows whoever you consent to drag your corpse

/toggleinspect on - inspect window
/toggleinspect off

/hidecorpse looted - corpses visibility
/hidecorpse all
/hidecorpse none

/charinfo - show bind spot

/guildstatus - show guild of target

/get - view guild motd

/rt - target the last person to send you a tell

/assist - targets target of your target (lol)

/loot - loots targeted corpse, good for when you can't see the corpe

/rewind - command to use if you are stuck

/random - roll dice

/note - opens in game notepad

Forage autoinventory macro -
this can also be used the same way as the sense heading macro above where you have it on your hotbar and can auto use it by moving.

Not dead. I’m having a blast. I’ve had pvp last two nights I’ve played. Plus my irl friend is about to duo and try the game. Grow it punta! :)

An easier way to slow sinking, and also bouncing, while levitating is to set your FPS higher than 60 in the option menu, this also reduces fall damage taken. The draw back is that it slows your turn speed when using the mouse in third person.
