What does it take? I soloed him on live 10 years ago with my 65 monk, but can a well geared lvl 60 take him on or do I need a group?

You're gonna want a 60(ish) plate tank, min 2 clerics, some sham/enc haste/buffs and about a full group (ish) of dps.

Here's about what you can expect for damage

How hard is he to spawn? I need to get going on my Monk's epic at some point. Haven't done a single damn thing outside of KC pipe.

He's on the same cycle/pathing as hasten bootstrutter. he's up frequently due to Jboots pushing the cycle along. Despawns after 4 or 8 hours iirc..I forget!

(You can always be nefarious and kill hasten(drake, and/or ranger as well)) in an attempt to spawn Z! Polite thing would be to OOC and check if someone's doing jboots before you kill hasten though.

Killing Bro Z is no small task as he is consider a guild master. 100% need a warrior with defensive, 2 clerics, a slower, and a couple DPS. A solid group of 60s can do it, but it would nice to have more like 10 people to make it run super smooth.

I tried to trio him with warrior shaman (60 with torp played by me) and 1 dps.

It did not end well.

Torpor and burst heal could not keep up and I never had time to try a slow as I was too busy healing. If we kited to preslow it may have been doable with that setup but I can’t imagine it’d be fun.

Warrior cleric shaman + 3 dps should work assuming he is slowable and you kept torpor up to buffer between heals landing.

Is better to do Bro Q. Two epic npc's in zone let you you take him down as a duo given enough soulfires and reapers. You can skip the corpsing of soulfires by doing it with two cleric but wheres the fun in that!
edit: I forgot to mention the strings and pulling him to birdman's emporium to keep your charges up

Bro Q isnt a garaunteed lost circle robe though....only a 20% chance

Can confirm Torpor + burst is not enough to keep up a disc 60 warrior. You'll want a couple of healers and some dps. Recently did Brother Quim, who I assume is basically the same fight.

You'll no if he has robe through graphics.

We killed him with one warrior and one cleric the other day, but Kazzoz was getting below 20% when each cheal hit, it was fun to watch, lol. :) 2 clerics, or a cleric and torp shaman at least.

Brother Qwinn: Mnk tank + CLR + ENC(with pet)

1400-1500 ac, 4400-5000hp buffed tank monk

Qwinn def felt easier. With a warrior you should be able to do pretty easy with defensive.

First off this is an evasive fight for the Warriors not defensive and he cannot be slowed. So don't waste the mana trying to slow him.

Ya I agree. The only time i camped raster was 45-47 when it is a decent solo spot.

I got my first that way. I got my second by camping there after every session, and eventually I logged into a spawned raster.

Brother Z and Brother Q are np if you have a tracking alt you can park there.

Killed Bro Z last night with a warrior, 2x clerics, druid, shaman, rogue, and me on my monk after I buffed those guys w/ my enc.

Not impressive from a numbers perspective, but the rogue pulled aggro at the start and died. Cleric had to clicky him back up....everyone was running on fumes at the end!

Thanks to all my Paradigm Shifters that came out for the assist!

Going to MQ a chardok pipe in the next day or two...and then its time to learn about skyfire named cycle for that book.

Nice to know it can be done with 1 well geared balanced group. Im on vacation this coming week and I may try to organize a kill party with my fellow Dawn Believers. Wish me luck!
