Going EC for buying items

I want to buy some weapons and armor and in the EC-forums here no one seems to have them. Do i have better chances when auctioning in EC-zone for them ? Are there still many traders there or is the most reliable way the EC-forum ?

But also OP he's right: start a WTB thread in the forum as your backup plan, then go shopping in the actual EC tunnel for as long as you feel like doing so (which could be 0 hours, depending on your tolerance for it). Eventually one of the two will pay off, with the in-game tunnel being the only one you have any control over.

You can also check the P99 auction tracker website too if you can't be logged in. I think some twitch channels also stay on to track auctions.

What is the actual and most reliable auction tracker ? i found one but it seems old and i cannot handle it.

Most reliable is place a char in tha tunnel and turn on /log. Can read the log file and check for the items you want

Sup Mark11! Here's some personal experience:

I was having some issues finding a few research-only / drop-only necro spells on the forums--

Finally got a toon out to the EC tunnel and was able to find everything rather quickly (ie within an hour, though it was during peak playtimes). So, please don't let inactivity on the forums discourage you from some good old fashioned tunnel-questing.

(Plenty of people in the EC tunnel don't necessarily "also post in the forums," at least from what I've seen)

I have found that generally the forums are a good resource for high end items, but less useful for everyday items and you should just go to EC and auction for those things. Personally if I am in EC I will try to sell my 100-2k items since I am there anyway, but I am not going to bother trying to arrange a time with someone via forums to sell something so inexpensive.
