The spell Weak Poison, found on Allakhazam and Lucy has the mobs listed as follows:
http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/spell.html?spell=1001
* a black mamba
* a desert tarantula
* a giant briar snake
* a giant thistle snake
* a large briar snake
* a large thistle snake
* A Saurek Darkclaw
* a tree snake
* giant wooly spider
* Terrorantula
* The Fabled Terrorantula
* Venomous Spikefish

Spiderlings
The spiderlings are the non-posionous version of the spiders. They are non-agressive, but the are EXTREMELY social, and will join in if you're fighting one anywhere near them. While they can be excellent xp for the younger player, they do come in a variety of level ranges.

Giant snakes
I can confirm that they don't poison.

level 1 snakes
These (and all level 1) snakes do not posion you.

And I found the jackpot using the wayback machine:

They also can poison you with feeble poison. Usually not fatal unless you are uner 1 or 2 bubs of health. Just make sure you sit down and ride it out.

Goobles, that is an extremeley well presented, well thought out, easy to understand, and informative beginning to an excellent primer on mobs that poison. I would sincerely like to see you continue that work and expand it to completion.

However you forgot one thing:
It is very important for the newer player to /consider the spiders closely to ensure they're of a reasonable level before taking them on.

Seriously tho, good work dude.

The poisons are a killer new player experience and levels 1-5 are what really matter.

Current poisons are certainly UNCLASSIC and needs to be tuned to what they are supposed to be :)
