Can't delet the characters that say I need to visit getting started

Hello,
I've d/led, deleted, repaired plenty of times, even got WinEQ2 and Dux's one step... but nothing is letting me know how to fix the old spell files characters on the character screen. I have 4 characters and I haven't played yet, their names are "Your spell file is old" "Visit p1999 getting started" "and something else stupid... I followed the instructions everytime… I don't know whats going on.. I just want to play old eq

Have you followed along with this post: https://www.project1999.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2651 ? After you install EQ Titanium download the latest P99 files (V45) and extract them to the proper folder, followed by deleting a few specific files. If you have not done this it is why you are getting this error.
