Any suggestions on stuff I should add or remove? Every part seem relatively new? I have a gtx 980 and an older i-5 right now that can't keep up with my 4k monitors.
I will probably give that to my girlfriend and try and convince her to play some games with me.

I overheard a nerd saying that 9 series processors are coming out soon. The chipsets are already out. I heard the nerd say. I don't follow this stuff and I think putting more than $1200 into a computer build if you haven't retired into comfort yet is kind of dumb. Your abs probably aren't visible enough to pay for how much time you spend playing games.

Cut the $94 for the copy of Windows. Yo ho ho, pirate!

Looks like a pretty slick build though.

I went with the gtx 2080 ti MSI duke OC (https://www.msi.com/Graphics-card/GeForce-RTX-2080-Ti-DUKE-11G-OC) edition of the card. Everything else is the same. Like I said, I was unable to break 60 FPS with high/ultra settings with 4k resolution. This should do the trick for several years.

I changed the ram and a couple parts up. I added my current monitors and headset as well. Hoping this lasts me 5 solid years at high FPS.

Why would you sink that much money into PC but be on a five year refresh cycle?

N-word rich are ya?

Southern California has a high cost of living, but also higher wages. My old CPU was released in January 2011. My current computer was built around then and overtime I upgraded my ram and GPU, but was limited by my CPU socket.

I will probably do the same with this build. I see myself getting a SLI bridge down the road and probably upgrading my ram in 3-4 years.

20 year old me used to dream of working on a list like that, piece by piece each paycheck. 34 year old me decided video games are boring and a smart phone is just as good. Looks like a nice system though! Hope you like it.

Have you considered any M.2 SSD instead of SATA?

Nope. I have been asking build a pc reddit for advice on my build and this is the first that I have heard of a PCI Express SSD. It looks alot more convenient than having to bracket and mount a sata SSD or 3.5 hard drive.

I will definitely look into this when I need additional SSD space.

Have you built your rig yet?

I would suggest a different motherboard if you plan on doing any overclocking on that 8700k. The power delivery on that ASUS board looks weak. Consider spending a little extra on a nice Z390 chipset board - they basically all have beefy VRMs because they're designed for the 9th Gen. Intel CPUs. This also means that you can drop an 8C/16T 9900k into your board in a couple years if you want and not worry about any throttling due to overheating VRMs.

That Asus Z370 will support a 9900k drop in, but its power delivery WILL NOT. Honestly that VRM setup may even struggle with an overclocked 8700k.

My "sane computer purchasing process" dictates that I buy the one that's about $400, presuming I kept my storage array. This means I don't have to obsess about gay stuff like above. Takes me 5 hours to research current generation, order all the parts to the computer and assemble it every 3 years. Go to the gym and read stuff other than tech radar and Tom's hardware forums is my advice. And quit playing video games

This Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Elite (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813145092&cm_re=z390-_-13-145-092-_-Product) is a really nice looking board. 12+1 phase VRM - will push a 16-thread 9900k @ 5.2GHz without breaking a sweat.

^^ And LOL - techradar and Tom's are absolute dogshit these days.
