You cannot, a rez is a rez and once you've taken one you cannot take another.

The spell has a few main functions. It serves as a last-ditch option if someone critical (usually a Cleric) dies in a place where you can't possibly get him a better rez and he's okay with taking the XP hit. It also serves as a way of ticking off people who you might not like, and who might not be too careful checking the rez box. Finally, it's useful for rezzing lower-level people if you happen to see some lowbie die while you're passing through....low-level folks are normally happy enough to skip the run back and quite often expect to take a XP loss anyway.

In short, the spell doesn't get used all that often.

Sorta. You can take as many rezzes on a single body as you want while the 3 hour (7 minute for duel deaths) timer remains, but only the first rez will restore lost exp.

In classic it's a good way for a pally to keep throwing bodies at naggy/vox just keep rezzing the same corpses.
