Not receiving verification sms

How long does it usually take to receive a verification sms?
I have registered my phone number about an hour ago and I still haven't received anything.

I have been very careful to enter the correct number, so I am assuming that if there has been some kind of error it is on your end.

SMS Verification has been broken more often than works...so a lot of us are stuck.

I was able to work around this issue for the moment it seems. I was able to use the "Account System" navigation links on the left side of the page (the one asking for the SMS number) to create my login account despite not having cleared the SMS prompt.
