How to raise faction with Edvard Tommels?

Edvard Tommels is the turn in NPC in south Qeynos for the Tesch Val Scrolls quests. I am a DE wizard and he is threatening to me. The wiki doesn't list his faction but allakazam says he is on qeynos citizen faction. There are a few quests that raise this faction in South Qeynos but I am also threatening to that particular NPC for thos quests.

I'm sure I'm not the first dark elf who has tried to do the scroll quests so hopefully someone has the solution.

There is also "Citizens of Qeynos", but the only members are Menkes Tabolet and beggars in qeycat. If you really want to you can do Menkes rat fur armor quests to raise them.

Just trying to do them for exp? It probably isn't worth the effort. If you just want to do it for the novelty, have at it.

Believe it or not, kill edvard to raise qeynos citizen faction if you are Kos. This is classically correct (sony had it screwed up hence so do we).

Hey! I got your solution. I am a DE Wizard who is turning in scrolls to edvard tommels. Invisible yourself in town (I bind myself at the dirt ramp near the bridge in SQ), stand NEXT to him with the wall inbetween you and him. Turn the scroll to him to open trade window, and then hit hide until he's indifferent. Then hit trade. It raises qeynoscitizen, his own faction. He does NOT see you through the wall of the house. There is one NPC to watch out for who patrolls sometimes named Bigroon but hes only level 35, doesn't hit too hard and right under Edvard tommels is a zone line to qeynos catacombs in the water next to him.

The only other way to raise the faction is to do one of the 4 rat/snake necklace/jewelry quests from a high elf guy who is also threatening. Your best bet is to use the wall with tommels to get to dubious. youll be there after maybe 25 scrolls.

Cen, this is great info! So, if you are able to open a trade window with someone but manage to stay out of view / not get attacked, activating "HIDE" will up your faction to indifferent?

And, per the previous poster, does killing Edvard somehow raise the appropriate faction?

Duration root him next to a corner.

Double zone to clear aggro.

Stand around corner from him to initiate 3rd person view trade without being seen.

Hide until indifferent.

Complete the give.

You can probably bribe a newbie to hail spam him once he is in position.

Also, I learned that Hansl Bigroon is also on QeynosCitizen. I only need to test if QeynosCitizen and Citizens of Qeynos are the same faction using the half elf rat quest guy, but I need to bring my bard or chantbro over to do the final test. Id update some wrong info on p99 wiki but I just can't handle updating wikis

Make sure to NOT turn in all 4 scrolls at once, as that's a different quest and gives a much lesser xp reward than doing the scrolls individually.

No I did nothing of the sort because I'm a dark elf wizard with hide. He doesnt aggro through the wall like in my picture. Stand next to him with wall between. Click door open. Click scroll on him. Hit hide or invis yourself so hes indifferent. Hit accept.

I'm only kos still to qeynos citizens so i have to avoid Hansl bigroon and thats it. As a wizard dark elf who is good or neutral you arent default kos to the casters guild by default, only qeynos citizens, and thunder temple (and monks and temple of life in NQ). I murdered so many gnolls and turned in slightly too many teeth where trumpy doesnt like me but thats an easy fix with some raider kills next to the NQ portal just havent taken time. I'm almost non kos in all of Qeynos on my dark elf wizard.. Which honestly if dark elf faction was classic i should have started that way lol

Get Share Wolf Form (https://wiki.project1999.com/Share_Wolf_Form) from a druid. My friend MQ'd the Qeynos Badge of Honor (https://wiki.project1999.com/Qeynos_Badge_of_Honor) on a DE that way.

Could this work with Iksars who can FD?

I'm about 99% sure you cannot open trade windows whilst FD -- just bank. Classes that can *sneak* and can get behind the NPC are able to vend/trade as long as the sneak is successful + "indifferent" is good-enough for the quest.

Still nice being able to bank whilst FD, of course!
