I thought I would update this thread in honor of Trump's Mexican tariff tweet. My read here is that Trump has three goals:

The new tariffs will probably (80% confidence) never be implemented. I imagine most Mexicans are not thrilled with these migrant caravans anyway - anyone else remember the migrant who made a video about how they were taking over Tijuana and they found his body the next day? - and this will give their government an incentive to actually do something about it. So Trump can stop the migrants even before the Wall is built.
At this point Trump probably wants to crash the stock market (50% confidence) or is at least indifferent. The World Socialists/Deep State/MI6/Illuminati/satanists/pedophiles/Chinese Communists/KGB/whatever you want to call them set this crash in motion the day Trump was elected when Powell began raising interest rates and lowering the Fed's balance sheet. The plan is most likely for the various CCP members to dump all of their assets at once (remember that trade deficit? 500 billion x 20 years = 10 trillion in US financial assets). If Trump is now indifferent to this, it's probably because he's confident he can place the blame on the conspiracy where it belongs, and that means he's about to begin indictments starting with Brennan and Comey.

What a counter-intuitive statement. Conspiracy theories exist because some conspiracies are real. People in power shape/exploit the world in ways that are not apparent, because they don't want it to be. Similarly, the "deep state" is factually something that exists, for example Food/Pharma companies exerting control over the FDA, in order to churn out low/toxic quality products that can be mass-consumed and make them profits.
