How to gear up

I'm a warrior who's been on the server playing maybe once every quarter for about three years. I just reached level 53 and i'm still in some of my level 1 gear. I don't want to beg anyone for gear, but it's getting to the point that I can't tank in groups because I don't have the HP/AC and my weapons don't really generate threat, and I don't have any haste items.

How can I without begging begin to gear up my warrior?

What do other warriors do? I was thinking about getting a clicky invis item, because i'm usually stuck where ever I am bound. I can't move around without dying and when I do get somewhere I'm stuck till someone ports me. Am I just being a big baby? Do other warriors just throw themselves out there or are there some major items i'm not using?

If it helps, p99 was my first exposure to classic EQ and this is the highest level character I have.

Where can I start killing guards? I'm an Ogre, so I'm sure that I can handle losing some faction on halflings or something. Can I really kill them with very little DPS?

join a guild, a warrior is not a solo class and you need friends.

1 dungeon group in seb will yield probably 5 upgrades

RoZ is already dying, its a two box server and the average population is 120 per night. This half brain here keeps talking it up, but it's just a cheap arcade box that's fun for a day or three.

And as far as guards, go to highkeep. I'd say in your current gear you could get around 275p an hour, if not more.

I know the server has a low population. To me, it seems fine. I have never been involved in any server drama so I don't have any built up aggression or resentment to the server.

I'm not delusional, it does suck that sometimes I log on and I can't get a group so I log off. But, and this probably seems delusional to some of you, if I play and get max level I will be one more person able to raid and play with everyone else -- that also means I can help when a new person starts on the server.

Get two blood points and 10,000 bandages and go solo in guk until 59. I did it on a rogue in classic exp. back then I got to kill a bunch of players to break up the monotony but guk plat is decent coin.

Buy things with a good sell/rebuy ratio, like gems. This way you can hold on to value that doesn't weight as much and can't be looted.

I suspect you could quest a lot of 'crafted armour' (it's a quest line 'crafted' by centaurs in katana).

The blackened alloy crown and grotesque alloy mask are desirable loots of Lord Picklaw) in Runny eye.

Find out how to spawn Quillmane from wiki and get her cloak while also farming some rings of shadow.

Swish, why not just give it a try? And honestly, who really cares if it eventually dies. Playing Eq for years on end without a break is probably a verified sickness. We all need a break every once in a while. Hell, I left here and took a good break. It was healthy, and I came back really refreshed.

You really should give it a try, a dead server has to be lonely. Fuck your pixels, why covet them when you have no one to even play with and use them on?
