Pottery skill check ranger epic?

One of the parts of the ranger epic is to combine Ancient Pattern, Platinum Speckled Powder, and Enchanted Clay in a pottery wheel. Is there a skill check for this? Do I need to level pottery before I try combine?

The pattern says that you have to combine it with a piece of enchanted clay and platinum speckled powder in a pottery wheel. No skill in pottery is required.
