New Mac player- movement problems

I just stumbled across P99 after 15+ years away and thanks to Vile’s files am up and running. However, I can’t seem to get the keyboard set up in a way that is functional (small iMac keyboard). For example, the left right arrows are either strafe (when mouselook is on) or turn (mouselook off). Also, mouselook doesn’t turn all that much before stopping at the edge of the screen. And I am a bit lost as to how to use function keys for targeting and such. Or in general how to map/use the non-Windows keyboard.

Any other Mac users care to share their overall keyboard setup or advice for above?

I don't see why this would be mac specific, but if you can get into your keybinds... it's Alt+O, then the keys tab.

From there you can find out and adjust anything you want to change. Hopefully the F keys on the Mac keyboard can be adjusted/recognized.
