havent played for years, how do I recover my old account

My old character was Charnage, a gnome mage. I would like to re-activate this account. but my login doesnt seem to recognise my email address.

No accounts were ever purged. Your account definitely exists.

If you have the email you definitely signed up with, it's possible to recover it and reset your password etc.

I signed up via EQEmu a while back. I reset my password on EQEmu forums. Is there any other steps to reset login password for game? The password I use for EQEmu isn't working.
