This patch contains a new spell file. Please download the latest EQ Changes V6 (http://www.project1999.org/files/eqchangesv6.zip) from the setup guide.


nilbog-Scripts-Reduced any quests giving too much experience.
nilbog-DB-ZEMs for kunark increased, kedge slightly reduced.
Haynar-Src-Moved mend back to a persistent timer.
Haynar-Src-Spells cast from items will now interrupt if the item is no longer in the same slot, when the casting is finished.
Haynar-Src-Eye of Zomm's will now aggro mobs, based on the caster's faction.
Haynar-Src-When using an Eye of Zomm, you will now have to click doors to open them. They will no longer open automatically.
Haynar-Src-Added intoxication support. The effects of alcohol will no longer disappear on zoning. Stats server side, will now be affected appropriately
Haynar-Src-Added some SoF client fixes
Kanras-DB-Fixed lots of stuff in zone_points table
Kanras-Src-Killed FD mem wipe timer.
Kanras-Src-Mobs scan FD memory while engaged so they can add hate back in correctly.
Kanras-Src-Fixed an issue where players could have multiple entries in FD memory.
Kanras-Src-Harmony fix
Kanras-Src-Druid charm CHA equivalence identical to necromancers
Kanras-Src-Fix for mobs warping after root/whirl break.
Kanras-Src-Root duration check eased slightly.
Kanras-Src-Whirl duration reduction.
Kanras-Src-Flying Kick is no longer guaranteed to hit, and minimum damage fixed for <= level 50
Kanras-Src-Fix for low level players hitting the auto resist cap too easily.
Kanras-Src-Fix for pure damage dots qualifying for partial resist checks

Kanras/Uthgaard-Src/Scripts-Optimization to the way pets with equipment are summoned.
Uthgaard-Spells-Memory Blur won't resist
Uthgaard-Spells-Malise/Major Shielding stacking issue fixed
Uthgaard-Spells-Illusion: Troll stacking issue fixed
Uthgaard-Spells-Slows fixed
Uthgaard-Spells-Solon's Bewitching Bravura reduced to 3 ticks
Uthgaard-DB-Haste percentages removed from display and replaced with Effect: Haste (Worn). Haste values remain unchanged.
Uthgaard-Spells-Fixed stacking issues on necromancer heal over times
Uthgaard-Spells-Purifying Rhythms should no longer stack with Psalm of Purity and Psalm of Vitality
Uthgaard-DB-Terror Forged Mask reverted to fear effect
Uthgaard-DB-Chancellor of Di`Zok should have been a 4 hour spawn, and now is
Uthgaard-Scripts-Fixed a typo in Good version of Cannibalize II quest that was only rewarding the spell every 2 ochre clay, updated Evil version with correct quest text

The whole system needs rewritten, this should alleviate the problems players were seeing. Post feedback in the bug forums if necessary, we'll see how it turns out. Looked good in excel.

Thanks for all the hard work DEV Team! I can't say this enough! You've brought this game back in true form, and have it running better than live was when I played (IMHO)... Even the events are run better.

Something's definitely wrong with this. It's depleting stamina at an alarming rate, and then applies an actual snare debuff called Fatigued. Dunno what's up with the latter, but the stamina loss rate is such that I'm spending a full yellow bar running from the Cabilis bank to the FoB start area.

As you probably know by now fatigue is horribly bugged.

I got fatigue just from running with sow (a 1 min or so detrimental spell buff that also drops your invis)

Any necromancer want to fill me in on what exactly this means? Now we require a lower CHA to maintain charm more reliably...?

Or CHA no longer is a factor in our charms.

Means nothing for a necro. Druids aren't so dependent on charisma for charms.

...Was it ever doing this? Before the patch I had actually tried this and it wasn't working. I wonder how people got it to stack?

I hope that the mana cost also has been reduced to match the default old values (5 pre 3/13/00 - 20 mana if after) rather than the 60 it costs with the 1 min duration version.

I'm pretty sure it only costs 20 currently. It's been that way for a while.

They broke a functioning spell so it would be how it was on live. Eye of Zohm was broken (as in not working as a scouting spell) because the eye was a level 1 pet that you controlled, but as soon as anything threatening or KoS saw it (decaying skeletons, wolves, anything) they'd attack it, then run for you.

I think I used Eye of Zohm a few times in classic, but it was bugged until PoP I think? That's when it became what we used to have here.
It's sad really: I used to cast that to scout around while I was meditating. Can't scout with it anymore :(

They were great to pull with as a monk, hence holgresh elder beads being super expensive once they stopped dropping.

Nope, not really.

Dungeons usually were better. I haven't looked at the current ones to see what they are, so I don't know.

Whirl now lasts literally a second, consistently and regardless of whether or not one attacks the target. It does put the spell into the "useless" category that it pretty much was in back then on Live, but it's still just as incorrect from a code perspective. There's no reason whatsoever to memorize it now and it has gone from overpowered to utterly worthless. Can't we just make it a stun with a random duration between 1 and 12 seconds? That's more or less how it worked. A 1-second single-target stun for 50 mana is beyond silly.

Yeah, but on a class that has several cheaper, faster, better AoE stuns, that's not much.

No, it didn't. That didn't come out of this patch anyway, it's been answered and re-answered about 20 times since January.
