Warrior aggro proc weapons choices as I level through Norrath

Hello!

I recently opened up a topic concerning an issue in deciding which weapons when dual wielding should go in mainhand and offhand. This is NOT the same question. And I wanted to create two topics, because more often than not i find that most people tend to answer one question well, and sometimes forget to answer the other when two BIG questions are asked in one topic.

Anywho,

I am level 17 now, I currently own a Lamentation and a Venemous Axe Of The Velium Brood.

As I level I'd like to get some suggestions as to what weapons I should accumulate to help me tank well in Norrath.

Which procs provide me with the most aggro? Which weapons are good to have during the leveling process, when certain procs start to become available to me?

At level 17 you will be more restricted by what level the weapons you can get will proc at all. Does that axe even proc yet?

One of the "sleeper" weapons I found leveling up was a Scorpikis Claw Impaler. As a DPS weapon it's pretty weak. The proc, however, is exactly the same proc as Infestation and therefore just as much aggro. Procs at 30 and can be bought in the tunnel for 50pp. For super-aggro at low levels, you can dual wield them. :)

These are pretty much your aggro weapons pre lvl 40. After that Frostbringer is primary, maybe get infestation, or go for Trollics Skean. Then from 46+ the options start opening up more.

That said, pre lvl 30 or 40 your best aggro will just be investing in good ratio/dps weapons. Your aggro will be bad regardless.

If you can afford it (4-5kish). It procs at level 1. Proc has 4 poison counters, debuff, and blind all rolled into one making for obscene aggro.

Never used WESS, wow, didn’t know it procced at lvl 1 :)
