No rain drop graphic

Title pretty much says it all. I hear the sound, I see the lightning flashes, but there isn't any rain drops. I guess most people would be super happy to NOT see it but I always liked it. Any way to fix? This happens in all zones.

I had this problem. I believe I fixed it by copying precipitation folder from another (live?) install.
