I like it.
I loaded it on my new troll shaman and am wowed by the nice eye candy.
I went to a merchant to lighten my bags and low and behold there is a inventory window by the hot buttons. I sold a mesh bracer and tunic from that lil window and, crap, that was the stuff I was wearing. It isn't much for armor but at lvl 7 it is all I had, <weep>.
Is that a bug, showing what you have equipped in the loot inventory window by the hot buttons? Sure made me disappointed in my actions.
OH well, I got the few plat from the sale. The old bag didn't show these items for sale in her list of crap so they be looosssst.
It's just pixels so I won't be upset long.

Health bars are nice and big and easily visible but the new style spell icons are a super bummer. I can just swap out those files, right?

Now, is there a way to change the fiery graphic that says Rustle to something of my choice? Not wanting to deface your work but wanting to add my own touch. Howzabout something that would put the character name there? Or the rl time. OR, get this, a stop watch so I can reset it with a click to time the spawn???? cool huh?

great UI. Just installed and its by far the best, big health bar, exp bar, and mana bar. inventory is a big upgrade too as you automatically see all bags open without having to open them individually. would pay money for this but free is even better

Enjoying this UI! been trying to come up with the best combo between your regular and 4k files to fit my 2k resolution... its working pretty well!
one issue i have is that its rough to not be able to use tell windows very well - since none of the chat windows have bars at the top, i cant rearrange tell windows or close them without right clicking an edge. if anyone comes up with a solution to that lemme know! (or tell me if theres just something im missing)

thanks dude. you could replace the chat window with the one found in this (https://www.project1999.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2219195&postcount=1) post. look for the section "Collapsible/draggable chat windows with titles". that should solve your problem.

Hey man, nice work! This is my first custom UI to try on P99 and so far so good, except for a few bugs I've found so far.
- After dying and zoning, then opening my inventory, the game crashed. Only happened once so far, will update after I die again.
- After adding the "Collapsible/draggable chat windows with titles" file and reloading the UI, the horizontal hotbutton bar without the extra Primary/secondary/etc slots disappeared. Had to reload the UI without saving my layout to fix it (just reloading didn't fix it).
- In the inventory, I can put things in the 9 and 10 slots of my bags but they're only 8 slot bags. I'm ok with this one though :) Not sure if the items would disappear on logout on not, might try with some trash later.

I feel like no one has addressed the fact that Orna is a jealous bitch when it comes to what spells he can cast :P
60 Rangers don't cast Regrowth of the Grove and other such spells. :p

The crashing after dying or moving bags into empty slots isn't a problem with how you coded it, it's a problem with the client that wasn't fixed until long after Titanium when the EQtypes for bag slots were changed to <EQType> Inventory/equip 23/0</EQType> instead of the 251-330 EQTypes that Titanium uses.

You may need to reset the position of all of the UI elements to get it back. It might be off screen somewhere possibly.

It's very specific to the open bags. It's unfixable as long as the open bags are active in the UI. I use open bags in a UI I made for myself, I consider it a worthy tradeoff but I understand why some people don't.
I haven't downloaded this UI and looked at how it's written but there's a specific set of EQType's that are used for open bag slots on Titanium and a few other clients and the EQTypes themselves are bugged, that's why they were one of the few EQType's that got changed in later clients.
It's really simple to remove if you Ctrl+F the <EQType>251</EQType>, take note of whatever the <InvSlotItem=""> that EQType is linked to, scroll to the bottom and delete <Pieces></Pieces> associated with EQtype's 251-300. It's usually 80 lines. Probably should do it with a copied UI folder and make sure it loads in game in case you delete the wrong line.

Using the mini-er inventory now. I've got bags in my hotbutton 1 window so no need in the inventory. Open bags would be great but cant afford to be crashing every time I loot my own corpse.

There's no way to stop it completely, but you can reduce it by probably 80-90% by reloading the UI as soon as you die or if you move your bags around. When you die the client thinks you still have all your items in your inventory, the server knows you don't have the items so it causes a crash if the UI isn't reloaded.
So, when I /loadskin this UI, should all the windows go into the right place automagically or do I need to move them all into place?

Well, I would also take guidance on how to do it on my own.
I guess I need to scale all the .tga down to 75% of their current size (in the 4K version) and then find the right numbers in the XMLs to also reduce to 75% (gauge lengths and stuff like this).
There must be something more to it because I still fail after hours of trying :p

Hotbar 1 - Removed Chest & Bracer. Added Primary & Secondary
Hotbar 3 - Added Right Finger, Right Ear, Left Wrist (will make it Right soon), Chest, Ranged, Ammo
Hotbar 4 - Added Inventory Bag 7 Slots 1,2,3,5,6
Also on Hotbar 3 & 4. I Corrected the spacing so that the border is correct.
This allows for hotswaping items from inside your bags to inventory items on the hotbar to click... Examples of use: Bracer of the Hidden, inside of bag. Quick drag drop and click.

I'm having a ton of trouble figuring out how to get the transparency tint as dark as I'd like. If I use the qqui solution of switching to a black texture and then changing the alpha I lose details like the lines and icons on the group window
Are there values for the transparency stored somewhere in the .xml files? I changed wnd_bg_dark/light_rock.tga from RGB 0/0/0 to 1/1/1 and it slightly darkened the backgrounds, but about half as much as I wanted.
Please send help. This stuff is frustrating.
Edit: Swapping to my character that uses Vert UI, I notice the transparency slider works for the transparent parts without changing the other assets while being able to go as dark as I'd like. I wonder what about qqui and rustle ui is different that this is not the case. Will continue hitting things with a bone because I am a caveman.

So i am not computer savvy but i copy paste well. I use Rustle UI and love it. On one toon I have an extra vertical set of hot key spots. My other toons only have the default one that has the bags attached. How do I add another. I know Shift 2 will switch but i want it always up. got any ideas?

the EQUI_HotButtonWnd.xml file would need to be edited to accomplish what you're asking

So, I attempted to change out spell icons to the old school stuff based on some comments on the first page and a link provided by deezy. They show up in my spell book correctly, but in the spell bar the icons have this weird pink geometric icon (they don't work essentially). Did anyone else have this issue? Thanks

White_Knight, the Dev team says to avoid Rustle’s fancy inventory (pictured) by reverting EQUI_Container.xml and EQUI_Inventory.xml to use the default ui's version of these files.
Alternatively, you may elect to manually avoid our fanciness utilizing the following commands: /who Rustle and /who Rustle all.

Pretty sure it's an issue with any open-bag inventory on p99. What you can do to avoid it:
1. /load your UI again whenever you die, BEFORE opening your inventory or looting your corpse.
2. /load your UI whenever you do a combine which uses up the combine container.

Might want to change this UI if the only 1 hotbar thing remains forever, id rather have the primary and secondary weapon slots still up on my ui then chest and a bracer slot seeing as the weapons slots are now on a hotbar that cant be accessed after this latest patch.

There seems to be a bug with this UI.
Sometimes when looting a corpse (your own or a mob) the game crashes.
Also when you get rez'd and LOAD into the zone you 100% crash if you try loot your corpse...however if you get rez'd and just pop to your corpse without changing zone you don't crash.
This a known bug?

There's no way to stop it completely, but you can reduce it by probably 80-90% by reloading the UI as soon as you die or if you move your bags around. When you die the client thinks you still have all your items in your inventory, the server knows you don't have the items so it causes a crash if the UI isn't reloaded.
the only definite way to fix the bug is if the client is ever updated, which is unlikely. else, you could use one of the inventory windows found in the qqui thread (https://www.project1999.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2658838&postcount=159).
