Connection Issue

Been looking all over the forums and cant find anyone with this same problem or so it seems. The problem being when I install the game I can play it but after I shut my computer off then turn it back on I cant connect to the server and Ive tried almost everything except messing with the router both physically and online. I do not play at a dorm or at a work space I am just at home

Also my friend that is over can play here no problem

Sorry also by connect to the server I mean connect to the list in general and please forgive the amount of info given but its really all there is Im not very computer knowledgeable but all ive really done to try and fix the problem is reinstall the game and go thru all the steps to change it then played with the firewalls and my antivirus by turning them off for a good 10m period then try to log in but my friend has np

Are you having the problem at the login to the server select?

When you click login, does it tell you it was unable to make a connection, to check your isp or contact your network admin?

If so, its your router most likely, either reset it or if you have admin priv you can go into the routers mgmt program and tell it to allow port access.

If he's online at the same time as you trying to login, and you have no IP exemption, this is the reason.

Ive gotten the IP exemption and when I try to log in it says "A connection to the server cannot be reached"

gonna try and see what I can do with the router
