View Full Version : Miscellaneous: Nektulos Guards on Wrong Faction

The guards within Nektulos Forest are supposed to be on Dread Guard Outer, but since hunting in Crushbone they are now scowling, indicating that they're on Indigo Brotherhood instead. The guards within Neriak itself should be on Dread Guard Inner, but I haven't checked them to see if they're also incorrect. I always played a Dark Elf on Live and there are NO Indigo Brotherhood NPCs outside of the Warrior guild itself anywhere within Neriak.

Wow, this is indeed messed up. Crushbone faction hits were never supposed to have that big of an impact on Neriak faction.

I really hope this gets fixed soon...

I agree with this. My Dark elf SK soloed for an hour or so in Crushbone and is now dubious to his own guards in Nektulos. It seems all guards in Neriak/Nektulos are on the IndigoBrotherhood faction, when in fact they should be split between DreadGuardInner/Outter, and the Warrior's guild should be IndigoBrotherhood.

Dreadguard Outer
Foreign Quarters Guards

Dreadguard Inner
Commons Guards

Indigo Brotherhood
The Dark Elf Warriors Guild. The Indigo Brotherhood has struck an alliance with the Crushbone Orcs, sending their Ambassador to Emperor Crush himself. It remains to be seen what will come of it.

The Guildhall of the Indigo Brotherhood can be found in the Neriak Commons. The guildmaster Seloxia Punox leads the guild in the opposition of The Emerald Warriors of Kelethin and the Steel Warriors of of Qeynos and Freeport. Dark Elf warriors also learn young to Hunt the Halfling Leatherfoot Raiders who have invaded their Nektelos Forest.

As a rule, you can gain faction with most of the Human and Elvish warrior guilds by annoying these folk.

The guards on the bridge also see Sneak/Hide and shouldn't.

Looking into the faction issues.

The guards on the bridge also see Sneak/Hide and shouldn't.

Can someone research this and provide a link or some quotes.

And to think i wasted all that time doing the red wine quest.... I was starting to wonder how many more bottles i have to give to see a difference.

Okay Nektulos forest guards fixed, pending update.

As far as the rest of Neriak a/b/c...here is a post from a while ago on the forums. Does this look accurate?

Dark elf guards:
Dread Guards Outer: Nektulos Forest, Neriak Foreign Quarter

Dread Guards Inner: Neriak Commons, Neriak 3rd Gate

Indigo Brotherhood: Some guards in Neriak Commons, near or in Warrior Guild I suppose. Not sure if the Exterminators are on this as well.

Priests of Innoruuk: In and around the Cleric Guild in Neriak 3rd Gate

The Dead: Near Necro/SK guild and at least one roamer, specifically one that goes near the Cleric guild (a spy perhaps?)

Ogre/Troll guards:
Some in Neriak FQ can be The Dead also. Some are on Da Bashers. Not sure if some of the Ogres are on some Ogre Faction or not.

Keep in mind that DE Necros/SK The Dead oppose the other casters (The Spurned).

While it may not be 100% accurate on all accounts, it's pretty damn close. Following the above faction structure seems pretty logical.

Pending update:

Faction in and around Neriak:
-guards in nektulos forest and neriak foreign quarter will have dreadguardouter primary faction.
-guards in neriak commons and neriak third gate will have dreadguardinner primary faction.
-guards and trainers within the warrior guild in neriak commons will have IndigoBrotherhood faction
-Wandering Guard N`mar primary faction changed to IndigoBrotherhood.
-Guard Lumpin primary faction changed to NeriakTrolls.
-Guard Swang primary faction changed to Ogre.

Any additional changes that need to be made in regards to Neriak or Nektulos, let me know.

Btw, links and research help A LOT. The less we have to research, the more time we have to implement fixes.

I'll try and do some research, but during my entire time on Live as a DE SK scowling to Indigo Brotherhood, I never encountered an NPC outside of the Warrior guild that was KOS. If Guard N`Mar is on Indigo Brotherhood faction, he was not in the city pre-POP.

Any updates on N'Mar? I can't find any information to indicate that he should be on Indigo Brotherhood faction. Since that's not the faction he was on in Live, will there at least be a way that those of us with Dark Elf characters can have our Indigo faction reset?

I've gotta agree with Shadin on this one. I played an Erudite Wizard on live and I could go everywhere but the Necro/SK guild and the Warriors guild. I spent a lot of time in Neriak and I most certainly would have been destroyed by Guard N'Mar had he been on Indigo faction.

I think he is suppose to be in Dread Guard Inner with the rest of the city guard.

Yeah, I built up Neriak faction on live for dreadguardinner and dreadguardouter...the only place I could never go was the warrior's guild. I don't think this guy is on Indigo Brotherhood...otherwise all the DEs that hunted in CB would be constantly slain by this guy, and I would have as well.

I took down Ratraz recently with my necro and I took all the proper faction hits however, killing him once dropped me from warmly all the way down to indifferently and after handing in 80 bottles of red wine I'm still indifferently. gotta assume the quest is broken and perhaps Ratraz's faction hits are a bit too severe?

Has this been taken care of? I was going to kill Ratraz but if that faction hit is that big I would not want to! Here is a quote about turning in red wine to negate the faction hit : http://www.eqnecro.net/board/viewtopic.php?t=94 . Just something I want to make sure if adjusted before I go and ruin my faction !
