Spells outdated, can't create character

So I've tried just about everything i can think of to get past this error... I've uninstalled and re-installed about 10 times now, following new account guidelines precisely. I've tried moving files from p99files45 as a whole, and separately (opening the folders and moving the files into the folders manually). Nothing seems to work to get on the Blue server. I tried to access a different server (Dragon Soul chinese server) and character creation was available with no errors.

This seems to be a common error and the fixes don't seem to be working. I'm really interested in getting back into this after being one of the dominant warriors on Erolissi Marr back in the day. Any direct help is greatly appreciated!

class still not decided (warlock, bard, druid, wizard?) Any requests once i get this figured out?

So, after you installed, and then installed the files from the "Getting Started" guide, and deleted the files listed in that guide, did you do anything else? I had no problems following the guide, but then when I used the Duxa UI installer, I had to reinstall those P99 files to be able to create a character.

You didn't let Titanium patch did you? Because that could be another problem.

edit: Regarding your class question, that's for someone more familiar with the server than I am. But generally Druids are a good starting class, Wizards are going to be a tough sell, Bards can also be very fun/useful, and Warlocks don't exist in this game, unless you mean Necro, at which point that's also a very handy starting class.

Haha yes, i meant necro. I got into wow when it came out and played warlock exclusively and definitely enjoy that type of class.

I don't think i patched it... I downloaded the discs online and installed them in order, then i downloaded the p99files45 and copied them into the EQ files, deleted the 5 files, and then launched titanium. I was able to login, but at the character selection screen all character files gave the outdated spells error and disconnect me. I uninstalled and started over again, this time trying the WinEQ route and it gave the same error. I completely uninstalled again, installed the discs and tried the Duxa installer. Same issue.

I just turned my anti-virus back on, found 8 trojan files that must be mixed into the files somewhere... They were all able to be deleted, but now I'm not sure where they came from and how i can proceed safely.

I just realized the dsetup.dll file won't transfer over from the p99files45. Any work-around?
