As far as guilds go there's also a list of a lot of the servers guilds on the wiki that was linked above: https://wiki.project1999.com/Guilds:Guild_List

For a middle-of-the-road guild (Welcomes lower levels, does casual raiding with the higher levels) perhaps check out The Second Sons, Dawn Believers or Kittens Who Say Meow - but definitely look at the list and talk to people to find one that best suits what you want out of a guild! ;D
