I know about CoM 2nd/HS Basement but I'm wondering if there are any other really good xp spots for a 56+ Shaman with epic?

off the top of my head.
LDC/Freeti trash
CoM 3rd
Hole small group
Seb small group
Geonids WL duo
Spiders Velks duo

Thanks to Loramin for that page :)

Edit: keep in mind you can get exp from mobs 15 levels lower than you. But higher level mobs do generally grant more exp. risk vs reward.

:D

Also there is now a filter at the top of the page that lets you see only spots specifically recommended for Shaman (although plenty of other spots that aren't specifically recommended are good for Shaman too).

Personally I just did a lot of Howling Stone basement from 56-60

Was duoing howling stones with a 55 epic shaman on my 52 wizard. Being a wizard I contributed very little to the equation.

I'm sure 56 shaman
could
solo it.

LDC/Freeti trash
This. (the freeti trash part)

Read https://www.project1999.com/forums/showthread.php?t=224046 - you will be 60 in no time. Did it on my shaman and was unbelievably good xp.

Could an epic druid root rot freeti trash?

KC basement near VKR is a decent root rot spot as well.

I think the problem you'll run into is your dot(s) taking too long to take out the imp protectors and you running out of mana continuously rooting . You could certainly try though. The nice thing when I did it on my shaman was being able to canni continuously. But you could try! (let us know if it works!)

If you do try it, I would suggest charming one of the sonic bats near the freeti trash entrance and using it to break the first few mobs (send in bat, root everything). You can get a lot of adds quick if you're not careful

I will try either early tomorrow morning or next week. I am getting bored of the pits and I want to try something new.

How many mobs are in the area? My root only cost 75 mana and it seems to hold up pretty well.

Best spot is Howling Stones North/West. Plenty of mobs. Super experience.

Freeti in solb, no contest, best spot to grind in the game

Check out this post - I highly suggest reading it in detail as it's a very well put together guide

https://www.project1999.com/forums/showthread.php?t=224046

The first "lilly pad" area has 2 static imps + a roamer. There's also a lava beetle static spawn plus another roamer I believe. From there when you go into the lair there are another 3 to 4? Static plus another roamer, and then 2 other spots with 2 statics each. Again I suggest reading the post, it's really well done.

Best of luck and do tell us how successful the epic druid hunting is there, I'm actually quite curious...

There's a more readable wiki version of that thread here (and, incidentally, it's linked to from the Per-Level Hunting Guide, your one stop shop for solo hunting spots!):

P.S. I miss iruinedyourday. And Lhancelot, who I used to think was the same person.

There are some trolls in neriak at point 15 on the map for the foreign quarter. Not the fastest and probably best 58 or 59. Never seen them camped :)

"Not the fastest" is a bit of an understatement, but if you want a slow and peaceful camp you could do worse.

Agree with Loramin here - I tried this and it's slow as molasses. I would never recommend that camp.

Yea the "never seen them camped" is the biggest upside. There are three trolls in the arena and one on second floor. Did most of 59 there myself and tbh its not terrible when you do all 4 at once then afk til respawn :)
