I'll go first.

My browser home page has been The Drudge Report since 2007, when an older male conservative who had engaged an emotional intimacy with me told me it was the best news source. Before that I think it was Google, and in win95 / 98 i think Dad may have set it to Happy Puppy for me (fun fact that site was run by an early internet-mess tranny btw). I think my browser home page history provides an interesting window into my personal development and I hope others will share likewise. Please remember to rate 5 stars.

You?

I remember getting in trouble in high school for switching the browser home pages of all the computers in the lab to http://shitcity.com.

It was a scat porn site with a giant home page banner of a woman with shit in her mouth.

Not sure if the website is still up. You can try clicking it though.

this was my mom's bf, or husband i think?? (she would get mail at that home in a totally different name, which shared his last name, but I know that her legal name [or at least the one attached to her birth social lol] remained the one by which I knew her.) like me, Mom had a fascination for these INTJ perverse connected guys which got her into trouble time and again.

he was one of those. squat, beefy, and swarthy but white, with money from a career that culminated in his CEOing for a very major corporation. i stayed with them in a remote location in the woods on the other side of the country.

it was a lazy summer and the house could be opened up on a nice day like it was outdoors and it was reaaaally nice in there. i watched a fair bit of TV in that space while I did computer things on my laptop. and he got REALLY excited that I liked watching foxnews & particularly Bill O'Reilly. i never have really been very political but I enjoyed the show (Bill O'Reilly is excellent television) and i'd humor him when he started talking "issues". we'd sit and watch TV and he'd talk in "us" and "them" terms, about how "they" want to destroy the sanctity of marriage etc (at least I think that was the issue of the day).

it's kind of funny to look back at. I knew he was kind of a dick and there was a major emotional stunt somewhere in him; I never really fully respected him. Still it gave me pleasure to build him up and let him lecture to me, and we did have a warm relationship. He gave me a signed copy of a Bill O'Reilly book.

even tho I correctly did not perceive him to be particularly intelligent, he had slam dunked in life and I liked his company and therefore I looked at him as an archetype of the sort of person I needed to learn to get along with to get ahead in the world. and, so, I took a good amount of what he said not into my heart of hearts, but into the heart of my strategy, my Way of the Blade. When he told me the Drudge Report was what all reporters, not just conservatives check first thing when they launch their browser, I took it as factual enough to integrate into my Program of Getting Good.

it was all very pederastic and it was a fuk fest but I think if he had come to understand that it would have torn his psyche apart. if he was a broader & sicker man it could have been rly hot

It's always been search engines. Think I started out with Hotbot on IE and thank god we were too poor for cable because my friend used to think changing the homepage to scatlovers.com was hilarious. I always caught it before the page loaded. After I did Google after I switched to Firefox and kept it with chrome.

“There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.”
