Spanish non-useless if she also can do the language. One of the biggest languages in the world and can be a good stepping stone into teaching business English. Or just participating in international business generally.

Not sure what feminist studies could be used for. Any ideas?

Just because you and your GF are losers doesn't mean others are destined to be. Grow the fuck upThe Feminist Studies girl who waits tables hates all men and thinks its their fault she can't make a living with her useless degree. Yah, she's a real winner. I might even tip her.

You can use a femnist studies degree to get into a PHD program (plan: get a terminal masters) in something more marketable.

It's all horseshit, who you know, and pedigree signaling. It's getting harder every year to find a high paid bullshit job.

You can learn tech skills, trades, collinary skills etc... and there is some preference for people with degrees + skills rather than just skills. Only defensive people without degrees disagree with that.

She's is looking for a college that will accept her but she really isn't intelligent enough, nor apparently has (parental) funding. I highly suspect this one will make waitressing or bartending her career, which isn't bad, but a waste of four years and thousdands of dollars.

But that doesn't really matter. She's not our kid. Ours are doing fine.

JD on point here, the rich people in any town and to a lesser extent major city are able to be counted on 2 hands. There are more women than ever advertising on sugar sites.

Despite reaching record popularity, the supply of women has only served to give the sugar dads their pick. They all end up passing off the same women and the rest of the undesirables are shut out.

Its actually been years since SA has had "Just looking for dinners and dates. Just take me out" as one of its options. Most of these so-called sugar babies are just vying for a shot at being an actual sugar baby and asking for just dinners is the only way to go about it.

"Would-be" sugar baby is the norm now.

University education should also be free.

In my lifetime I remember the push just for just getting people through highschool. It's no longer higher education, just education. It's flaky and a given.

Why have this divide between school and university. The question is, once we remove this what will be the "bigger, better, special" thing then? University 2.0 where you do pay for it and get access to better jobs etc? you don't think there will be an equal push to have that also become free after enough whiners complain? what then.. University 3.0 where you are in school until 35 years old? ffs

It's flaky and a given. We need to return to "technical high schools" where you graduate with a marketable skill, albeit a small one. Better than a "I showed up enough to get a paper" that it is now.

They all seem to do a decent job of college prep. I attend scholarship nights as a presenter from time to time, and these kids are way ahead of where I was at their age. But what about the rest?

the public school system just needs to be made less useless. It doesn't take 12 years to learn calculus, notable historical events, or the differences between there, their and they're. Secondary education should focus on useful skills and knowledge with specialized institutions/ facilities. Nobody should be studying reactions or reading state subsidized literary failures in high school.

Some humanities degrees are valuable to society and some shouldn't be subsidized at all. I wouldn't put them all in together like with STEM.

I think my issue with most of them is they don’t get you a decent job capable of paying back student loans, whereas STEM and healthcare degrees like nursing are actually relatively safe. You can learn any humanities material on your own, whereas at this point you still need an engineering degree before someone will hire you as an engineer. Any degree is more valuable than none of course, but if you’re financing $50,000 in debt at 5%+ interest, the return on investment of a humanities degree can be dubious

There's nothing wrong with people getting useless degrees. If people want to spend their life on something they are passionate about, that's fine. But they go into this being told "you won't make any money."

The problem is that when these people come out of University, they feel superior. The fact is, they are less valuable to society than a garbage man. Granted, a garbage man is a pretty high mark of societal usefulness. These shit degree people take shit jobs serving others and often grow resentful.

The only path towards a life of influence, power, or even security, is to return to the fart-huffing confines of University. They then acquire Masters and PhDs, all while remaining bafflingly useless to society. They tell their students, "you won't make any money doing this." But everyone in the field is angry. Because humans want power and security. So then they attack the people who have dedicated their lives to productivity and industry and reaped the rewards.

I'm writing this as someone who got a retarded degree. Fortunately, I needed money to pay for medical bills right after college and I was capable of applying the stylistic skill I had learned in my gay writing college to helping ppl sell things over the internet.

god bless a fat wallet and buying food for your loved ones!

Student loans are a bad deal for everyone involved, including both student and taxpayer. You can do whatever you want of course, but as a Persian, the master race in terms of investments, second only to Jews, im simply informing you guys that a humanities degree paid for with debt is a Faustian bargain and will lead to bad outcomes

More guys should go nursing. My son did that, is a CRNA now making $180,000 at 29, and he was one of like 5 straight guys in his class at UTHealth (out of 120 or so) at age 20-22. He banged like 40 girls from that class, made $60k a year by age 23, and now makes $180,000 before benefits. Full disclosure, I paid for both his undergrad and graduate school and so he had no debt, but nursing is something y’all should consider. Since most of you are misogynists and can’t relate to women, it might also increase your social skills and improve your chances of becoming a complete human being

God bless

Yes nursing is very good.

I don't have the right temperament for it, though, and have no problem relating to women (thanks mom).

Furthermore, I paid off all my student debt within 2 years of graduating due to making a smart choice of where I finished university and what I did immediately after it.

Patriam is right!

Nurses are amazing.

Doctors get all the glory, they're there for the promises and the false hope.

When they fail, they leave, they're gone.

Its the nurse that has to stay there with the patient, and greet everyone coming to visit them on their deathbed.

Its the nurse that has to cope with the failures at a hospital.

Bless the nurses

$72k a year in 2012 = $78.5k now, and Houston Methodist has good benefits so factoring that in he was closer to 85k in today’s terms. They contribute 3% to your 403b, for instance, regardless of whether the employee gives anything. They match an additional 4%

This line of posts wasn’t “my son is better than you,” it was more about how you can easily and affordably find a sustainable career path since I’m guessing a lot of people make significantly less than that and would like to do better

Glad to hear you’re 46 chaboo. Was worried about your health when I assumed you were in your 30s

That's exactly why I wanted to be a nurse. I tried to kill myself about 10 years ago and was in the psych ward for a week. I saw a doctor about 3 times for about 10 mins each. There was a nurse named Angela, though, would spend hours talking to me. One of these people helped more than the other.

I wanted to be that person for some depressed kid. I had to drop out though. 30k and counting of ignored student loan debt, but I proved to myself I could achieve at a high level academically if I wanted. Still hope to go back someday.

Baby Boomers constantly joke and belittle the concept of marriage and then they get pissed when Millennials heed their advice.

I'm all about tradition and the nuclear family, but it all sounds suicidal to me at this point.

What's in it for me?

Companionship? Can get that whenever you want.

Kids? lol

Financial support? By the time she drains my bank account her paycheck will be irrelevant.

“The Spinner* is a service that enables you to control articles presented to your wife on the websites she usually visits, in order to influence her on a subconscious level to initiate sex.”

The best bit? It’s “just” adtech.

It’s retargeting.

It’s how Google makes money.

Your wife is exposed to hundreds of items strategically placed as editorial content, using headlines such as:

“5 ways to keep your husband permanently in love with you” and:
“3 reasons why you should initiate sex with your husband”.

This service is not done by hacking into one’s spouse’s phone or downloading any malicious software. Instead the service incorporates a popular marketing technique that display specified native ads to targeted users.

thespinner
The global number of married men who want their wife to increase the number of initiated sexual advances towards them, is estimated to be around 1 billion.

2. You will send that link to your wife via text message.
