Hi Guys!

Been tempted to try Red, and would love an inside out and brief tip on what class to play?

What people need more?

I dont really care about dying, I am a former EVE Online player, but totally clueless on EQ PVP?

I always tend to roll into support and prefer team action over solo, so was wondering if clerics here are viable? Any insights?

WIth the xp bonus I think most non solo classes in blue can level somewhat decently here on red if ungrouped and grinding mobs? Considering pop is low and perhaps leveling groups will be hard to find

Any tips hints? :)

I'd recommend shaman.

In addition to being one of the better pvp casters, you can also farm a fortune solo.

Clerics are definitely viable. It is rare to see someone main a cleric but they make the crew very powerful. Other options for you could be druid, shaman, or bard.

Hit up someone in the guild Savage and we'll help you get going and show you some pvp strategy if you're interested.

Have fun :)

Actually I will tell him to play www.riseofzek.com instead of this heap.

That site triggered my antivirus, proceed with caution.

Be sure to make your characters on separate accounts when it comes time to box with Apex

You'll thank me later

Consider Blue.

Red is filled with unwashed heathens.

I agree with shaman. They're not easily killed and they farm well to supply other characters that you will start later that are more heavily gear dependent.

Yeah shaman is deffintley a nice starting class. They are a little slow at first but, they start getting fun in the 30s.

think you could make good money doing ports as a druid, well assuming someone doesnt kill you after you port them to get their plat back.. (dont think thats a real thing..) but its a funny concept..

I actually only have a lvl 9 on red and everytime i see someone i think they are going to kill me. but they have always just been higher lvls who want to buff me or toss me some handme down gear. so far everyone seems super nice on REd not sure about the haters havnt run into them yet

Yah, thats prolly a reason.

I was never a big PvPer but i always loved the thrill i could always be attacked from behind and NEVER feel safe.

Not sure if i would stand it today but maybe i give it shot one day.

But i will never ever be a clothy on a PvP again... i think.

XP really flies when you are grouped and in dungeons. Can't understate the enough. Just get anyone to group with, regardless of what they are and get in a dungeon.

I don't like to solo xp, so can't speak on that.

Bard may be a good choice for you. Not going to solo all the content a shaman/enchanter could, but great in every area: solo, pvp, group, raid. Not hard to gear either.

Enchanter similar to bard, but PvP curve above most casuals.

Cleric always great for groups of anykind. Solo not very good. Very vulnerable in PvP and usually first target of enemy in group fights.

Last bit of advice is don't be anon.

Tanks often hard to find for grouping. Hard to solo with, but good everywhere else.
