Hi all,

My wife and I are duoing war/dru. We're around level 20 at the moment. I played a warrior on live, but have never played druid. My wife has never played before now.

I was just wondering if there were any tips or tricks for fighting that we may have overlooked. At the moment I just hit things until they die, and depending on how much mana she has, she'll DOT and/or thorns, and just heal me once the thing's dead.

Thanks in advance!

Fear kite animals or charm animals and let the warrior kill the broken, fleeing charmed mobs

I would add some charming for additional DPS if she is feeling up for the challenge.

Keeping thorns and regen on you should be a high priority - thorns may not look like much but the damage can add up over the course of time, making it a pretty efficient spell.

Thorns will be druids most mana efficient dps esp since you're a tank. Have her stick to cc, thorns, and heals. Fear kite animals whenever possible.

Thorns vs mage DS —— by far the most efficient damage per mana line across all casting classes.

Assuming one mob in camp, priority for Druid in order of importance:
-keep warrior alive (obvious) and with regen up. Try not to heal to full and instead heal efficiently letting the regen do its work between fights
-Thorns on tank
-snare if needed
-keep mana reserve of at least 30-50%
-relevant other buffs
-nuke vs dot depending on fight length only if all the above are met

For situations with more than 1 mob in camp? Crowd control. You’ll spend a lot less mana getting adds locked down vs just trying to heal through them.

There is another strategy that most people don't know about: Aggro kiting. With aggro kiting you can kill almost any mob if you have room and the mob does not summon. The druid just needs to spam snare and flame lick (do it about 5 times per minute) and run away from the mob. The warrior needs to STOP any taunts and use weapons that will not draw too much aggro and just run after the mob killing it slowly. Thats also a way out if you notice an encounter going bad when you can't keep up with heals.
