Iksar Warrior Questions

First time playing EQ so forgive me if any of my questions seem dumb.

Just hit 36 leveling in Highhold Keep and was looking for gear recommendations for my iksar warrior. I've met some really nice players who have given me some awesome gear which has allowed me to save up some plat. Gear is as followed.

Full banded for armor
Platinum Fire Wedding Rings
Silver Chitin Hand Wraps

Weapons are Silken Whip of Ensaring, Staff of Battle, Fist of Zek, Deadwood Stave x 2, and Green Jade Broadsword.

What should I be working towards next? Upgrading the armor seems like a good idea, but I know that iksars can't wear a decent number of items. Is the trooper scale quest worth doing or should I just look into buying better armor?

Also any thoughts on 2h vs dual wielding in regards to the weapons I have? I've been using the staff of battle for most of my leveling, but I've read that dual wielding becomes better later on.

Tree weave is amazing (chest, 25 AC, 10 str, ~200pp)
Sarnak hide mask is pretty good(face, 6AC, 6 str, ~100pp).
Bloodstained mantle is cheap and good (shoulders, 6AC, 3 str, 10 SVmagic, ~50pp)
Dwarven work boots (feet, 8AC, 3 str, 5 dex, ~200pp) are alright though they can also be obtained from camping Garanel Rucksif in Unrest, and it is a pretty fun camp imo. Most groups will do need/greed so you can easily need.
Azure silk sleeves (12AC, ~50pp) let you show off your muscles and have good AC/low weight
Hooded Black Cloak (back, 10AC, 5 str, 45 hp, ~600pp) is really expensive but can be rarely won from a mob in Mistmoore, which is where I got mine
These are all items that I wear on my 39 iksar SK

You're doing great.

Jarsath Scale is an upgrade on banded.

I reckon you can basically hold off armour upgrades until you hit KC.

Rot quest a Trochillic's Skean.

Try rotquest a sky haste belt of concordance at 46.

Similarly you can try piggyback on a Plane of Growth clear and you might be able to get a few pieces of Berserker armor (basically thurg armor, but without the hastle of faction/gems/no drop questing).

There is also some half decent iksar warrior armor in Hate to tide you over.

I think iksar can wear crystal chitin armor from velks, which is decent AC for iksar tradable.

Once you are wearing thurg/crystal chitinish armor you can basically hold off upgrading again until skyshrine/kael quest armor.

All that is really left after that is ToV dragon drops.

Thanks for the advice guys. Yeah, I feel pretty strong but I figured I'd ask since I'm in EC atm and i've had banded since lvl 6.

Any advice on where to level next? Thinking either lower guk, Frontier giants or mistmoore

If you see me around EC send me a tell, I have some Trooper Scale Vambracea on my warrior you can have, name is Hiszk. Or I might be on my bard Rodrek, or was it Rodrik... lol

As a fellow first character evil warrior,. im recommend Mistmoore. Great trash loot there with bronze, fine steel and gargoyle eyes - you can sell to the druid lady at the rings in Steamfront since she's on neutral beta faction

If you want a specific thing to save for , Frostbringer, or if you plan to quest the axe yourself then 30%+ haste.

JimJam speaks truth - Frostbringer for now, then start the LONG saving process for a Cloak of Flames, a Cloak of Crystalline Waters, or Spiked Seahorse Hide Belt.

Join a raiding guild and you'll get HoT Skyshrine armor in the 50's no problem.

As for weapons, Short Sword of the Ykesha is solid aggro at 40 and at 45 you should get a sarnak warhammer.

As for armor, thurgadin quest armor MQ's are really cheap right now - start working on that dwarf faction and save up some money for quest gems!
