From the testing myself and my guild have done we do not feel that Malosi is working on mobs. When casted on players we can clearly see the -60 to the appropriate resists, but when casted on mobs we get the message for a successful landing, but when charmed the mob does not have the Malosi debuff. Our initial suspicions began when we would not receive the standard message for a debuff be casted over a successful previous cast. If the spell is working as intended i would appreciate a reply back at your convenience.

It looks like ogre shamans aren't immune to frontal stun =(

this is a huge bug, either Malos isn't landing on NPCs, or its not giving a debuff- allowing them to cast it over and over getting the mob into negative ressists.

Wouldn't that mean it is giving the mob a debuff?

Also regarding malosi, was the spell this much aggro on live?

I played a shaman, but only really used the malo/malosini and up (the level 60 ones) and they were always minimal aggro, ie like 1 aggro point. Slow was always really high aggro (shaman or enchanter) and so was tash, but I never remember the malo line giving much aggro at all.

He means if it is working its not putting a debuff icon on the mob allowing it to be stacked an unlimited number of times which is unintended.

The most likely is the other possibility he suggested that its not working at all.

I know what the original post was about.

I was asking if malosi was broken in another way as well.

Thanks for the clarification.

It's easy to test though, you should be able to cast it on yourself.
I tash myself at least once a week due to hotkey mishaps.

I'm surprised nobody has tried this, just cast it on yourself twice and see what happens.

The spell works correctly on players, it shows the icon and lowers resists. Our question was if it was actually working correctly on npcs.

Ill explain our tests.

Bard Charm at the moment is not stacking with other MR debuffs ( like tash ) but it should.

However, we found it was "stacking" with malo. So that raised an alarm for me, I charmed a completely buffless mob after malo had hit, and no malo buff was present. I thought maybe bard charm was dispelling it ( bard charm has a MR component ) so we tried enchanter charm. Enchanter charm again shows no malo once malo has been hit. If the mob had been hit by tash it shows it on the debuff list.

Another point of evidence is that Malo is stacking. If 2 shammies get a malo on 1 mob, neither get a "your malo has been overwritten" message.

When Malo is casted on a dueled player or on self it sticks, has the correct -60MR and shows the debuff. This is why I believe malo isn't even hitting mobs.

Take a high MR mob, cast ~30 frequently resisted spells on it without malo, and then again with malo. Compare results.

I'll join you in doing this if you like.

Ogres get stunned from the front. So they aren't frontal immune.

Bigger issue!

I can confirm Malosi is not working. This is not as intended. Working on a fix.
